do you ever find it annoying to have install and uninstall different modules every time you want to do a specific task? well, I have an idea from this game called Dark Orbit,
configurations!!!
so basically you can set configurations (up to 3) and on the bottom of the info panel to the left on the ship tab, below "View ship stats" you'll have 3 buttons, config 1, config 2 config 3
when you click them, if no configuration is set, you can edit the configuration, if a configuration is set, It will automatically install and uninstall all the modules for that configuration.
If you don't understand any of this, I don't know how to describe more clearly because I am an idiot!! :D

I had the same suggestion a while back, hopefully something like this gets implemented. It is especially frustrating when you don't have enough decks to outfit everything, but it gets better as you progress.

ooh, there's no forum search ("dead frontier" has the same problem so there should be a "Do Not Suggest List" (DNSL)) so this is a really good idea that everyone would like.

Actually there is, its in between FAQ and Members.
I also suggested this ages ago, viewtopic.php?f=6&t=2057&
It seriously needs to be implemented.

Nice. I have a few configs i would to switch to

PVP mod
Hacking mod
NPC mod

of course there is the dispute whether if you can fit all the modules and you will have to keep updating your configuration as your ship installs new weaponry and increase decks.

I like it alot lol.

Configuration 1: Normal Mode
Configuration 2: Energy Mode
Configuration 3: Scanning Mode

although i dont see how this will work because I cant uninstall alot of modules that take up space. So If there was some way it would charge you for the Minerals and the credits to build it ide like it.
But most people can uninstall that stuff :/

This would only be useful at low ranks, mid rankers usually have all there required modules installed , 3 reactors 8 cannons 5 hull, etcetc

Only if youve been using the high decks strategy. If you used any other then you still have to switch out modules relatively often. Besides, wouldn't you like to only have to press one button to un-equip all of the modules that reduce your max energy when you want to rank up?

i forgot about scanning mode... lol

and yes. i would like very much to only have to click one button to uninstall all my prejor guns, ballistae, and relays...

as for other modes coming into play, i think that there should be a message that would say 'it will cost x credits and x mineral, x mineral, etc. do you want to purchase for (total credit cost of minerals and modules)?'

I made a suggestion a while back about having the option to put our energy weapons together so we can quickly install and uninstall them right before and after ranking up.
This would work with the relays the exact same way.

The vision that I have for this working the best is by simply clicking on the top of each kind of weapon or relay and the next one scrolls up automatically to get installed or uninstalled.

It would take some time off from having to keep clicking from one page to the other back and forth over and over again ..
It gets annoying after a while.
