I don't think that if I start a legion, I should be able to put so much time and effort in to have someone kick me. If I promote another guy to leader, he can kick me though. Is there any way to make sure I can't get kicked? My legion is considering doing elections, and I'm kind of worried someone might kick me and take over if elected in.

I don't think there is, which is why I think there should be a new position. Basically, it would need to be like a Leader but it can't kick the Leader and can't disband the Legion. Or that could be the Leader position, and the new position would be the one above it, Founder or something. Either way, I think they need something between the current Officer and Leader position.

I'm the leader and founder, I want my legion to be truly democratic, but I don't want to open myself up to a take over if we elect the wrong guy, so I want to know if we should even consider this option

From what I see, no, so why not?

Ah, I didn't realize anyone had suggested that, but it seems like a good idea.

It should be that if there are multiple leaders, then it should take multiple leaders to boot one or to demote one...

-1 what if the leader/founder went inactive or quit the game suddenly ? then you're stuck with a legion spot that can't be refilled sorry

It's very simple. Make the founder the only leader and all the other "important" people can be officers.

Or sub-leader if this comes into place.

I am Founder and Sole Leader of my Legion.
I have considered stepping down and letting someone else be elected to Leader, however I have worried about the same things.
Each post above has valid points.
I feel the Legion founder should have a protected status, not a special position.
1: Legion Founder cannot be Kicked from the legion. 2: Legion Founder has the sole authority to disband the Legion
In conjunction with this...
1) I think officers and Leaders that become inactive for more than a month should be automatically demoted so that the Legion can carry on it's business.
2) In the absence of a leader... one can be selected by the officers of the legion by majority.
3) Legions whose entire membership is inactive should automatically be eliminated.
One more thought....
With the amazing proliferation of legions totaling 5 members or less... an option to merge legions should be made available. A side option to automatically re-rank members of the lesser legion to one lower level as they move to the new legion would be very handy as well.

This is very good. The voting for a new leader by majority would be hard to add, though. +1.

Change their status to officer. That will resolve you being kicked from your Legion.

Yeah, but the problem still is that if the leader goes inactive then there won't be a leader of that legion.
