 Energy Recharge Rate

Hello I have recently started playing your game and I cant help realising that currently your promoting the come online once a day kind of approach given that your energy runs out really fast after you do only a few things and takes like 3 hours to recharge =[

I am suggesting that you create a server specifically for people who would like to be more active and play more often

this way people that want to have a faster energy recharge rate and be rewarded for playing more often will be happy and those who don't want to have a faster recharge speed will also be happy =] everybody wins

and of course because the idea is untested using it on a single server and hopefully a new one will mean it only promotes playing the game and shows that you are constantly taking steps to improve your game even if it is a small step this step will be noticed and keep people entertained =]

its much easier than making new weapons or new resources new upgrades no mechanics

given that i hope you dont stop creating more cool stuff

LEARN the game before you suggest things for it ppl xD, Relays increase your charge rate but bring down your max energy, Their are these things called REACTORS. AS YOU LEVEL and research the Power Systems branch of the research tree, you will get better reactors and relays, currently with all the reactors available to install(3) and all relays available to build(4), It takes me 17 Hours to recharge. This game is better as you play longer

there is a research branch called energy and in it you research relays they make you recharge faster

That doesn't necessarily change what he is suggesting.

What Joshball said is correct though, you can speed up your recharge with relays. However, you are still correct that this is more of a "log on once or twice a day" sort of thing. I think it might be cool if there was a server with 3x the energy charge or so, but I don't see that happening either. Personally, I think it would be cooler to add another server that was the same, but then we could have another ship on there. That would certainly be interesting for those of us who started a long time ago, before a lot of things were implemented, but that wouldn't particularly appeal for bringing in new players.

Many browser-based game usually has one "normal speed" and one "speed server" later when the userbase allows for it.
Id like to see one speed server where everyone starts from 0 etc.. :D

I have considered everything that you all have said and I am glad someone mentioned the ( speed server ) you are correct there are many games such as this that have a speed server but I still think the game needs to have 60 energy an hour once a minute isnt exactly insanely game changing it would just make it a much better game to continue playing when you come online

so you wouldn't have to go offline for 5 hours so that your energy goes full you could even play the game while doing something else... thus increasing player activity how much people enjoy the game and how involved people can get

yes joshball I had previously seen the energy relays but they use up all of your space =[ so if you want to use them then your at a disadvantage and get owned by someone who plays the game more slowly and is less active

honestly if the recharge rate was at 60 an hour I would gladly buy plenty of galaxy points oh research and stuff to help my legion out and get much more involved than il be able to

I could play this game on skype if it only took 5 minutes to attack someone each time that would totally rock

and yes i have considered that the game no dought makes money from the fact people get pissed off and pay for energy .. but I have a simple solution

do what all good game devs do and when you alter one thing alter another to suit the good game mechanic you are introducing

make the energy thing you can buy i the shop for 10 galaxy points do more than just give you triple energy

better yet make move your galaxy points for energy deal a bit further and put something up there for say 30 galaxy points or what ever you work out would be best for marketing and have it double your energy recharge rate for a set amount of time so that it still pays and gives you an advantage to buy the energy

meanwhile the game is still made more enjoyable for people that are active as you have made a server for people who are more active with a 60 energy an hour base recharge rate

in no time the game becomes more popular than monster fags ( which is popular because it suits active players who like animations )

or tribal wars ( which sucks ) torn city crowd moves over also you may not get the galaxy players who like their big armadas to move over until you make the combat animated interesting and skill full but youl be on your way by encouraging people to become more active and more involved it only gets better from then on

and of course more people who are more involved means more people buying galaxy points more people telling their friends the game is cool and more people playing

please implement this I cannot see any downside and I am open to peoples suggestions and ideas that may improve this idea

players should never be punished for being active it is the active skill full players you want to be rewarded as it makes the game more competitive more involved and overall better

remember this is my opinion I would like to hear yours please comment below

Dont be discouraged. his game takes a bit of work before the payouts star rolling in but the longer you stay with it the more fun it is and the more options you have. I am now up to 120 energy an hour and have a total of 3180 energy. You just need to put some work into research. Good luck to you.

how did you manage to get that much energy per hour? o.o I read through most the wiki and never saw anything that could pull that off oh well

having all that energy persecond doesnt mean people that dont have that much energy per second own u ?

you do know it can be cut down to a energy per 30 seconds ... but tbh your gna have to do serious research and npc hunting for tha :P

my relays (2 fathers, 3 hubs, 4 wormhole emitters) take up a total of 45 decks, plus i have another 20 cargo space being held by 4 isomorphic repeaters (i swap them in on days i'm planning on levelling a few times for less wear and tear on my wormhole emitters which cost a total of 800m credits to repair all 4).... that's an overall total of 65 spaces.... only 13 levels worth of rank points... how in the world is that "all of your space" unless you've either just started the game or you're keeping your ship as tiny as possible (1 deck per level) to minimize damage, in which case you're voluntarily crippling yourself energy-wise

I'm with you, that was my first thought on seeing that post "Relays only cost 5 space each!"

On the other hand, I do like the idea of a fast server, though I probably wouldn't play on it.
