I dont know if this has been suggested before, but how about an artifact that is used against an enemy and has a 20% chance of harmlessly triggering their traps. |

Null Fuse will remove a trap effect on your ship, I think thats as good as it's going to get. Changing a Null Fuse to an active enemy artifact that will remove 1 (random) trap effect from a ship would be cool. |

(and it wouldn't tell you if / which trap was removed) |
