I feel it have come up with a very good idea but worried it maybe be over looked as i put it in the middle of someone elses topic. So here it is

My idea to stop Base Funds Thefts and give us somthing in return for depositing credits into the base!!!
For every 1mill credits you put in to the base, you gain 1 BCP (Base Contribution Points).
These would be lost (at an equal value) if you withdrew from the base.

If you have no BCP, you cannot withdraw from the base, if you have 1 you can withdraw 1mill ect ect. (this could also be a great idea to prevent base money thefts as going to another legion would not carry your BCP, but your BCP will be saved if you left your legion and went back later.)

You can spend the BCP on all basic artifacts in a seperate BCP shop, not sure of the price's but im sure you all get the idea (e.g 100 BCP for a Grid console. 2000 BCP for a Mass Storage Pod) After you spend your points they are gone for good unless you have points left over or contribute more Creds to the base.

Personally i think this is the best idea when it comes to getting somthing for putting in creds.

1+ to this, base thefts can happen, though you only make people you trust officers or leaders.

I said it was a bad idea, not that I think its bad so much as I don't think we need it. I draw 250-300 million credits per hour, having a system based on millions seems far to low, also I'm not sure how other legions work but in our legion credit access it limited to leadership only. Everyone was encouraged to donate as much as they can, when we hit 100 billion we stop encouraging donations and we are still up to 130 billion now, our base upkeep is 260 million as we near rank 5. If not a single person put a single credit into our base we could pay our upkeep for another 500 days, I don't see the point of this system at all. If people are stealing funds you should limit access to leaders only and if your leaders are stealing funds you should find new leaders.

Meh, anyone can withdraw from our base. If I wished I could take all 43b and run.

lol yeah, if ur worried about theft, take out the commerce bay. ive only put in a billion or two, but that was after i had to withdraw due to lack of credits for upkeep. the commerce bay really saved me there. anyway, i LOVE the idea of base credit points which then could be spent in a shop for special base artis or modules, or even special stuff for the players ship. +1 to that!!

Please keep in my that this thread isnt just to stop theft, that was a little idea i just put in in the making of the thread. i personally havent suffered. but i also believe, whatever you put into the base, you should beable to take out. if the base doesnt have enough funds then you could spend what you have earnt on artifacts.
As i said i fail to see any issues with this idea and would love to have someone that can mention an issue.

how about for every billion you put in you get a free repair of your ship?

i can already get a free repair of my ship
