I know i don't get many of these but it seems as though others get hundreds of them but don't them.
Maybe make it slightly more useful by making it able to extract LvL 8, LvL 10 and LvL 12 Buildings, Topopolis Rings, Trans-core hubs, Thetacron/Quasi Minefields and Obviation Barriers and put it in your cargo as an artifact. It makes planet stealing more useful perhaps?
When you have the Built Dyson, and when you need more money, Maybe instead of selling the Lvl 12 Artifact structures, you can extract it instead and put LvL 12 Mining structures on it (from your cargo ) and Place those Extracted Level 12s elsewhere, maybe a new planets that's been colonised.
Would easily save you Billions of Dollars when you are rapidly abandoning and colonising planets.

to me it seems like a waste of cargo space, and a waste of an extractor. its not a bad idea to give extractors a secondary function, but i dont think they should extract researchable components. maybe they could remove special modules and package them into size 1 artifacts in your hold so that it saves cash for a scan spree? i think people that have researched +12s, quasi minefields, topopolis rings, and obviation barriers have no problem paying for them.

Well, at high ranks, Buildings are expensive, Upkeep is Expensive, Modules are Expensive, Invading Planets are expensive. I just thought maybe Extractors could make themselves useful

yes, everything gets expensive as you level. but you should have your mining keep up with your research and invasion costs as you play. otherwise you just screw yourself over in the long run. for my im trying to keep my mining at double my upkeep. easily enough to pay for invasion costs and buildings on planets. plus, i dont colonize planets anywhere near what i used to. so buildings arnt too bad to build.

That would require a bigger change than this deserves I think; everything that can be removed can only be removed because it has an associated artifact, but research structures do not.

While I like the general idea of being able to save money at higher ranks, I'm going to have to -1 this on the sole fact that if quasi minefields and obviation grids were put on a planet from cargo storage, that would classify them as an artifact defense/attack structure and make them non-sab buildings.
