I was having a discussion with Vladd13, and he was telling me how he got hit hard with a repair bill after spending a couple weeks offline. It gave me an idea, and between the two of us we came up with this. Add the ability to put a ship in 'Drydock' mode. While in drydock, you have no upkeep to worry about. However, you cannot preform ANY action other than comm messages without snapping back into 'active' status. You will recieve a verification popup to remind you that you're drydocked and ask if you want to return to active. Finally, to keep it from becoming a way to cheat the system to avoid upkeep altogether, 'Drydock' will have a 7-day cooldown. It would be nice if being drydocked would also keep you off the random battle tab, but I know we can't ask for everything. |

I would also suggest that when dry docked at legion station the dry docked ship adds to base def and attack but if base attacked ship automatically goes back to active status cant fight a battle in the hangar ya know |

Drydock sounds like a good idea but I don't think it should be free. If anything it should cost more than your standard upkeep as you are totally safe from attacks, raids, hacks and loss of status. Steal a planet, go drydock and no one can hurt you. Piss off an entire legion by farming it's members, go drydock and no one can hurt you. Just a couple examples of how people could abuse this wonderful idea. I will give a plus one if you can hash it out so it can't be abused so easily. |

this could be good but would require alot more detailed rules I say you can NOT enter dry dock if you've performed a offensive action within the last 24hrs (attacked, raided, hacked a player, or planet) cost's 3 day's of upkeep YET.... your locked in drydock 7 days without paying additional upkeep and safe from any attack, raid, hack ( because the purpose would be that your not gonna be around to play) after being re-launched you can not re-enter drydock for 7 days your ship is "un-maned" so probly shouldn't add to base stats |

ok the idea it should cost more defeats the purpose its intended for peeps to lower there upkeep because they are away for real life issues for extended periods of time , like myself who can be gone up to 10 days unable to draw minerals or ap rp , the idea of no offensive actions for 24 prior is good but it should be on other players only not npcs or missions . the idea of not adding to base defense i can kinda get behind but then again if i was in drydock and our base came under attack i wouldnt sit sippin my mojito while the other capts went to fight id recall troops and go out and play . ![]() |

A simpler way to do it is that while drydocked, you're still vunlerable to any alerts that might be out there with your name on it. either that or you simply can't go into dock while there's an alert on you. I don't see any reason why it should cost credits to berth your ship when the whole point is to avoid alot of credit burn over a few days absence. That's what the 7-day cooldown is for, to keep from abusing the feature to avoid upkeep. |

paying 3 days worth of upkeep for a 7 days in dock is cheap vs 7 days of upkeep |

No have it that when u enter it its for a minimum of 7 day no upkeep no attacks your planets are still able to be hit and let them contribute to legion bonus this would be grate for ppl who join the military but hope to play again go on vacation or even move. |

I love the Idea!!! With these limitations.... 1) it costs 3 days upkeep to enter dry-dock 2) Minimum stay in dry-dock is 7 days, No maximum stay those rules seem established.... but... I would add 3) While in dry-dock, planetary production gets added to base production and divided among the legion 4) any active alerts on your ship become active alerts on the base 5) Members in dry-dock do not become inactive 6) Dry-docks must be added to the base, and each dry-dock can only accommodate 1 ship 7) One day's upkeep must be paid to re-activate the ship 8) Ship is completely offline... no attack or defense applies to the ship or base. With these rules and limitations, I think the Idea is worthwhile, usable, and fair. |

I support this idea for the sole purpose of a "Vacation" mode. Cannot perform actions, Ship/Planets cannot be attacked or invaded. Cannot gain resources/research. Does not contribute to Legion bonuses. Vacation Mode should have a minimum of 7 days locked in, so players cannot enter vacation mode and out and cannot exceed 1 month or else everything goes in to inactive status, free for players to invade/attack. Leaving Vacation Mode would prevent player from entering Vacation mode for another week. This is a feature avail on another space FB game. There are diplomatic mode which all resources are cut down to 20% yield to pay for "protection status" |

I haven't read this in a bit but was thinking all your production when in dry dock does to the base and is divided among the legion. |
