Hi all! The name's Skygrasper. I'm betting that you probably don't know me and for good reason: I don't bother with forums much. Lol. It's not that I hate them, but I'm typically so busy with real life that I rarely have time for much else than the basics of GL and chatting with a few legionmates. That being said, it's a special effort for me to come here, but I think it's well worth it. This is a little bit long-winded, but I might as well make it count, right?

Anyways, if you want to find out what makes WDE so awesome, read on. I think after you're done, you'll find yourself pretty convinced.
This legion is AMAZING. I joined WDE about a year and a half ago, and I've never left. I'm one of the oldest legion members here and I've watched the legion grow, shrink, pass through some pretty tough times, and then grow some more...and we're still growing! Right now, we're pushing for making our base level 7! Wahoo!
I'm really proud to say we're still standing after so long. Being here for more than a year, I really admire what makes up WDE. So many powerful and amazing players have passed through the hallowed ranks of our legion. While it is a shame to have seen some of them go over the course of time, they left a powerful legacy, inspiring others to join our ranks, helping our members and our legion grow, and encouraging others like myself to pass on the wisdom and knowledge that makes us strong players. Without them, we wouldn't be the powerhouse that we are. That is why WDE continues to exist...or rather, not exist.

We've got the legacies and the beginnings of some of the most powerful players out there and though they've moved on, most of them still have our back and help us from time to time. (I won't namedrop because some of them might not appreciate it, but y'all know who you are.)
That is not to say I belittle the players who are still here and who have stuck it out with us. They're here alright...and as powerful as ever. Kengona's still hanging around, mates; he's been a leader since I joined. Comaface and Pifester, our other two leaders, are sheer wrecking balls of might like Keng, but they're all pretty easy-going guys. Our 5 officers (786kas, CRazor, D3m0nsh4d0w, Rarek, and Timaaay) have all been here for hell knows how long and I can attest that these guys are just as tough for someone their rank. We've had some pretty amazing leaders and officers in the past, and these guys are carrying out that legacy. Our leaders and officers are some of the best out there. They and leaders and officers past have shaped and upheld the core values of WDE:
Honesty, loyalty, brotherhood, generosity, altruism, fairness....and the occasional good ribbing.
To me, this is what's important in a legion. It's the glue that holds any legion on the leaderboard together. It's obvious that when you come here, even if it's just for a visit, you'll find that the members of WDE are some of the friendliest, courteous, supportive, and fun-loving people around. We share more than just planets and NPC's and artis and minerals. We share our life stories, our triumphs, our failures. Even our hopes and dreams sometimes. We're here for each other, game-wise and otherwise.
Now, that's not to say we don't have our fun. Believe me, if you only saw what kind of craziness goes on the comms...well, you'd be laughing your head off.

Like I said before, we talk a lot to each other. Well, mock each other is more like it lol.

When we're not busy talking about tips on GL and how to make our ships and planets better, we joke and kid around a lot. As in....A LOT.

Truth be told, the guys and girls here (yes, we have girls!) are a bunch of hooligans. We rassle around with each other, rib each other, occasionally troll around and build a bunch of surface bunkers on the newly conquered planets of our legionmates.
Gamewise, there's always plenty to do around here. The sheer number of elites is enough to keep you busy at any given point in time. And we always value pvp-players and killing bases.

The support you get for improving your ship here is phenomenal!

Seriously, we have a lot of experienced players here besides our leaders and officers. They can help prep you for the big leagues, both pvp- and npc-wise. We're generally very helpful with advice, and I'd be surprised if you didn't meet your battle objectives within a reasonably fast time frame with all the help that gets thrown at ya.

Our basing is pretty awesome. We lock about 3 bases a day. Mostly 5's or 6's. Occasionally, we do level 3's for easy silver badges once in a while. Not very often anymore. For those who are online frequently, amassing silvers is pretty darn easy.
If you're not into npc-ing or pvp-ing or base battles, that's cool too. We have a few players who aren't so much into that either.
WDE supports all types of players. We're not like some legions who dictate how you play. True, we're a little picky with who we let in and we have standards, like any other legion on the leaderboard. But for the most part, we don't really care how you run your game. As long as you work on improving your stats in the long-run, we're happy to have you. The important thing is to have fun.

For the non-pvp and npc-ers, we're always running Legion Missions nowadays. If you're a mission-person, you can always help out with that. And if you're a slow-ranker, we still appreciate you guys. We love seeing our members get strong...and then enjoy watching as they wipe out everyone around their rank on the rare occasion they PVP.

We've got seasoned planet hunters as well, and some of us do scan runs pretty frequently. Colonists and invaders, eat your heart out! We share planets frequently, and like building ships, we know some pretty nifty things about building up planets. Even if you just need a few extra planets to help you get by, we're happy to help share one for ya.
Now about our base. For those who have yet to encounter our level 6 base,
It's Not Really There, it's pretty strong for a level 6 base. It's about to get stronger too! We're moving up to a level 7 base soon, so we're going to get even tougher for the poor suckers who try and lock us. (Okay, I'll be humble here and say we've been locked before and we've been disabled. No one is invincible and there are several more legions higher up on the leaderboard than us...but I guarantee our base is a tough cookie to chew on. Most people give up about losing a couple of teeth.

) Now about the amenities to be found at our lovely base: We've got a full CT Lab and you are more than welcome to use it, even if you're just visiting for a planet trade or something. (Anybody want to make Anubix or maybe some other awesome artis like a Galactic Concord Station or an Isolation Bureau?)

We've also got a Universal Service Terminal. For those who have researched enough in the base research branch, you'll know that this baby gives out some pretty nice buffs depending on the day of the week for a little bit of CTP. I can't wait to be able to use it as well. But even if you can't access the CT Lab or the UST yet, we have a pretty nice incentive. 50k+ arti points per day. Freaking awesome if you ask me. And that's only going to increase once we get up to level 7! Anybody else excited?

So, as you can see, we're a pretty awesome legion. Supportive, chatty, active, loyal to each other, generous, tough, and still growing. I don't think much more can be said about the amazing dynamic that exists here at We Don't Exist. (Yes, pun intended.

) So, if you want someplace really awesome to call your new home on GL (or even a temporary home of you're touring the galaxy), come swing by for a visit. Our doors are open and we hope to see you there.
