they are usually paid with in ctp. It is usually specified when someone selling whether the terms are ICTY(I Come to you) or YCTM(You come to me) if its YCTM for example, then you would leave your legion and go to theirs. You send them the ctp or whatever payment they accept, and they then alert the planet and abandon it for you to colonize. When you are buying a planet from someone and they come to your legion, they have to wait 24 hours before they can alert it.
