There have been about 40 people buying from me, why do you have to be the special one that expects me to chase you?

Because a salesperson doesn't wait until their customer comes to them, they go to the customer. The salesman doesn't make a sale unless they go ahead and try to make a sale, which you certainly did not. If you did not realize, I am the buyer, the one who comes with the money to buy your products. Why should I have to break my back and go through all the trouble of asking you for the product when there are hundreds of other sellers willing to go through the trouble of directly messaging me about sales? I'm not too sure why either... What I certainly do know is that after making that last post, I had two other sales persons ask me if I still needed these artifacts, one even offered to sell for cheaper than you.

Well let me ask you, when you want to buy your dinner, do you sit at home and wait for the pizza shop to call you??
When you want to buy a car, do you call up the car yard and tell them to bring 20 cars around because you are the buyer and they have to come to you.
If you were buying a house, does the realtor have to come over to you, print out a 3d representation of all of the buildings in your current price range, and then plug an electrode into your brain and play a virtual tour into your synapses??

No, no to any of them, and because why?

Because a buyer is a buyer and a seller is a seller, two separate people who will come together and try and work out a compromise that suits both of them.

I dont understand why you feel that you need to be dealt with as a special buyer, as if your ctp is better than anybody else's.

Please feel free to find a seller who has better prices, have a word to John Macauley, he has huge stock and great prices, and may be more willing to deal with your "needs".

Ben... piece of advice from me, that is not the way to speak to any potential customer. Ever.

I am arguably a kind of successful trader for the forum and it is suffice to say that I attribute a large chunk of why I'm successful to the way in which I handle myself when dealing with a confrontation with a potential buyer. It's important to remember that just because someone may not be a customer today doesn't mean they won't want something from you tomorrow.

To handle a situation distastefully will build animosity toward dealing with you, not just from the individual in which you've made a dispute with but also with others who would now be dissuaded from initiating a sale. Perception of you, when changed to negativity, may have a resounding impact on trades down the road. As a trader this can lead to such issues as getting ripped off and/or having entire Legions, or worse yet Alliances, initiate a trade embargo against you.

I'm not that much of a trader, at the moment i am only doing it to make some ctp for my legions base.

I have built up a circle of friends, and acquaintances throughout the game over the last year, quite a few of them through trading i was doing a year ago.

I'm not particularly interested in the rigmarole that is in being a trader, i see what you deal with every time you put up your price list cringe at the people who troll you (although hasnt happened for a while now)

I'm here offering artis for cheap prices, to get in and get out with a sale fast for a cheap price for anybody who wants it.

I'm not here trying to build up a long term client base, im not here to lick someones as%h(!e and bend over backwards for them.

Kudos to the long term traders out there who do their very best to always meet the demands of their clients.

If someone doesn't like me, and doesnt want to trade with me, sweet, i'm not fussed, in the meantime i'll just keep on doing what i do......
