When I look for planets, I want a certain kind of planet that I'll use for one resource primarily. But I cannot search my planet list simply for "research planets", but has the artifact and mining planets thrown in too, making it hard to sort. If the resource column was split into three, one for each and separately sortable, it would make planet searching much easier.

You can type "mining," "research," and "artifact" into the search box to sort that way. This will only list planets if that's they're best resource, and only if it isn't tied with a resource of higher priority, but other than that it works fine.

but i think that's what he's saying...

let's say for instance he's already colonized all the planets on his list that already had research as the best resource... but wants more research and can't scan anymore at the moment... there should be a column for each of mining, arti, and research, showing what the level is for each so you can sort just by that one column (but keep the best resource column as well)

+1. I would like see that in the game. It would be helpful when it comes to special abilities like Enriching or decisions on planets worthy to be purged from planet database. Add filter buttons will do fine.

I think I first posted this last year...

Quote:
I think space used should be shown as a % so that you can sort to find planets with space on them. (Planet A would be 100%, Planet B would be 96% and Planet C would be 100%).

I like this. +1

The "Enemy, You, and Legion" controlled icons should be different as they are now.

Red crown on planet = Enemy
Silver shield on planet = You
Silver crown on planet = Legion
Nothing on planet = Unoccupied

Easy, really.

+1000 for anything that expands planetary info on that list .. I would like to see attack/defence/cloak values on that list .. I would like to see owners name owners legion.. make a filter box or something that you can select what columns you want to see on your planet pages. I hate having to click on every planet just to see what its all about ..

Sort of tied in with this (re-designing the planet page) is an idea I had ages ago, which I've revised:

Image
In the picture:
Planet is all planets
Crown is enemy owned
Blue shield is yours
White shield is legion
White shield + ! is legion alerted
X shield is unoccupied
Radar is recently scanned
Crowned planet is planets recently taken for you
Shield planet is planets you have recently colonised and taken

The other two search bars are useful for if you have a grudge against someone/some legion, or if you plan on selling a planet based on a forum request.

And +1 to the layout suggested by Odragon

The only button I think is missing is 'not mine'. Sometimes it would be valuable to look at all planets you don't own in one step.

i guess one way to do it would allow it work as positive/negative filters.

Turn on/off My planets
Turn on/off legion planets
so on.

I like this idea. I also like searching planets by legion or player ownership.

There's an idea!

2 filter sets
Set 1: Toggle, all, recently scanned, alerted, recently lost, recently taken
Set 2: Unoccupied, enemy, legion, own

Selecting "toggle" in set 1 "unlocks" set 2.
In set 2, the backgrounds are either red or green. Red = not showing, green = showing.
