It's stupid that we have to pay energy just to contact people on the game. Like if your telling someone to stop hacking you and YOU have to pay energy just to do that. We wait long enough just to wait to recharge our energy and to talk to people we have to use energy. Thus its like making us lose at least 10 mins worth of energy time every time we just want to tell someone something or chat??? :?: :?: :? so here is an idea,...Why don't we just get rid of the 5 energy we have to pay every time we want to message someone.

this.

Also, as a side effect, it can make quick diplomacy all the more important.

That's a hell of a good question, I have been wondering that same exact thing. Besides nobody spams comms. It would help a lot to save energy that you might need. I would like to be entertained by the stupid #&$# some people say.

Then why did Commonwealth and Baltar get banned?

Spamming is most likely THE primary reason why comms will always cost 5E....

They got kicked from the game for using an exploit (that I can't describe because I don't know if its fixed yet) to spam comms at no energy cost. Baltar did it to a 3rd player and Commonwealth did it to Baltar in response IIRC.

well you see that little button that's a red circle with a slash through it, click that and no more spam ;)

I know the trick to use comms without energy cost, no I'm not going to say how it's done, and I plead the Fifth on any question regarding usage.

5E to send a message with the new block/delete/reply system doesn't entirely make sense. Yes you could spam a guy while offline, but then he clicks 'block', no more messages from that guy ever again.

On a side note, could we have an option somewhere to 'remove' a comm ban? During some wars, it gets to be a big flamefest, but then afterwords the legions might become closer to buddies, and its nice to be able to remove those blocks.
