Alright, I'm about to use my first planet flux and was wondering if using it would cause an alert on me to everyone else who has scanned the planet?

yep... everyone else that has it on scan will be able to see that YOU are the person that fluxed a planet....

...they won't be able to tell what planet or see its stats anymore... but they may still hit you for fluxing it

Okay, thanks. I just needed to know how long I have to deal with some guy throwing a hissy cause his planet got fluxed and there is no way to get revenge for it.

Is this right? On a few occasions i have had the message pop up "One of your planets is no longer visible" ... my comms dont show anyone attacking my planets and im sure theyre all there that i have colonised. I always assumed someone used a flux on their planet that i had a scan of

yes.... you get a msg like that when someone fluxes away a planet, removing it from everyone else's list...

and due to this patch in July ( viewtopic.php?p=87924#p87924 ) the person getting the alert about the flux can target the person that fluxed the planet and attack their ship if they choose to

Alerts stay on the newsfeed for 2 days.... so even though usually nobody bothers, don't be surprised to see 2 days of disables and raids and hacks from the legions of all the people that had it on scan

I dont think so. Last week someone fluxed a planet and there was no player name.

next time it happens, check on your newsfeed...

Regular buyable planet flux do not alert the name of the user, as far as I've seen. I think the confusion lies in the the mission Fluxes, Temporal flux. Which I -think- do alert everyone to your name.

Actually the buyable ones do. The one I used was one I had bought and I used it 44 hours after I took over his planet and he was able to attack me for another 48 hours afterwards (I was able to keep track of the time thanks to him posting on my comm immediately after both actions). Also, before anyone says otherwise, I did nothing back to him during that time.
