I didn't mean that I turn it in as soon as there are any points. I mean that I never let it sit full and wasting potential points. I usually only collect artifacts when I have at least 20K points so I have a chance to get the +60 Cargo item. I have picked up four of those so far so I might go with Nocifer Deathblade's method and start collecting around 8K for a while to have a better chance at ship bots and the terraformer. Even so, the fact that I have never received either of the terraforming items means that they were already far too rare for me, at least, and now I have even less of a chance to see one regardless of how long I continue playing the game.

Do 10k if you want to get charts though.. I do get tessaract containers at 8k threshold and it is much more cost efficient than mass cargo. So 20k isn't attractive..

I agree that terraformers are TOO rare now. I suspect that Dan had made the rarity of terraformers to be equal to quasi-expander now.. I haven't gotten ONE terraformer since the terraformer nerf and I did get 1 quasi-expander.. That is pretty bad.. I miss old days that I get many terraformers heh.

Hrm, that is interesting, I hadn't noticed that. Since I don't need mass ice melter, i think I will reduce from 20K to 9K. Thanks for pointing that out.

Lol! I just got quasi-expander just now from artifact shipment! It was at 9kish when I claimed it. I got 3 quasi-expanders so far since its implementation. It still exists but just ultra-rare..

This realy sucks then because the quest requires 10 of those so your having to get 10 before you can even get any benefit from them. Either he needs to up the drop rates again or reduce the requirement for them in the quest.

Lol. No.. I like quasi-expander ultra-rare as is.. Dyson is supposed to be ultra-rare. It is called Mythical classification. What does that tell you? It is not supposed to be easy.. It can take MONTHS to complete Dyson mission even with high artifact production. But it'll well worth the reward at the end..

Or.. Just whip up $50 to get it now.. It's people's choice..

I know...it's kind of an unfair advantage for the older players because they now have better planets then we will have even when we do get to their level.

Hey terras have never been common, well, except the like the first week when they came out and because there was only like 10 artifacts in total. But otherwise they havnt come easily, I had to wait 3 months before I got my 10, though now I think it could take a year.... still, formers should be rare.

Oh don't get me wrong, I agree they should be rare. But by making them rarer, it's given higher levels a bigger head start because you technically will have received more in your time playing than we us lowbies will have by the time we're the level your at now. This of course is by the laws of probablility, which we all know how that works. Still, the randomness of artifacts I think it just a little too much at this point. I could see it working if, like you said, there were only 10 artifacts "back in the day", but with so many artifacts now I personally think Dan should let buy all artifacts specifically with artifact points now, but double the amount of APs they cost.

Or mabye even triple, or make specific artifacts like terraformers and such incredibly expensive, say 20-30k APs.

Lets start a petition to bring terraformers back. There are so many altermatives now (except artifacts) and still almost no reason to buy them. keep quasi-expanders rare just put terraformers back.

I got to agree, and while this would be a bit unfair to people who havnt played as long as some of us. The point of playing longer is so you get a few unfair things on your side.

really it would be more fair to lower levels to keep them included so they might have something to look forward to. The already achieved bonuses that all the higher levels enjoy from terraformers aren't going to go away and lower levels have less oppurtunity to ever catch up. The absence of level restrictions has probably made such artifact purchases much less viable as well. I look at it as something that wasn't broken but got fixed anyways. I wouldn't really blame Dan if he thinks it will make him more money though. There are a lot of new planet boost items that are almost too easy to get but more so at higher levels.

The main reason why Dan had to nerf terraformers is because there is now higher average AP/hr per player so the terraformer production overall went up that might be little too fast than Dan would like.. Because if terraformers production never get nerfed then it would throw game out of balance for those players with maybe 10k AP per hour 6 months later.. Ultra rare production would be still be in-balance for those players with 10k AP/hr.. Young players would just need to rank up alot to be able to enjoy quasi- and terraformer production or simply buy with $.

I don't like the new rarity of terraformers particularly because even the appropriate disparity won't be spread evenly because of the past. Thats what the 15x mega rich limit was for. Your settled planet # and AP/hr go up at roughly the same speed, nothing exponential at least, so I don't see what the issue really was.

edit: there wasn't really a proportional disparity before and if there was, it was intended and certainly not exponential in nature. The benefits already gleamed from the old system are now set in stone and that type of disparity seems intrinsically unfair.

Lol. Sorry.. Live and breathe the style of MMO or online games that always constantly changing.. Something got improved.. Something got nerfed.. Veteran players tend to enjoy benefit of things that got nerfed.. Sometimes Veteran players got shafted badly and newbies got benefitted by it so go on. It's just the way of MOO style that gotta get their balance checked all the time as any variables in the game changes..

I, too, missed the chance of old times where terraformer could bring any planet well beyond 15x but I don't care.. It's just part of re-balancing and those old time players took advantage of it and I don't even envy about it. As soon as you accept the MOO's or Online game style of game mechanic changes, things will be more enjoyable. ;)

I understand rather well that not everything is going to be perfectly fair, but that doesn't stop me from having an opinion and the 'fix' just flat out doesn't make any sense. I don't see why terraformers of all things would be nerfed. Higher levels just have more planets to terraform over all so it would be their choice if they really want to put all their eggs in a few baskets and have a few 15x mega rich planets. The NPC drops are skewed towards higher levels anyways. If anything doesn't fit in scale with artifact production it would be ship-bots and rescued prisoners since those only have one destination, your ship. It makes levelling mean near nothing at higher levels. I mean, QSE's have been rare all along and I certainly don't have a problem with that. I just like the adage "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" and the fix seems to cause more imbalances than it fixes.

It seems that ship-bot and rescued prisoners production rate got nerfed as well. I haven't gotten as many as I used to get before. Maybe a streak of bad luck or something? Same for crewmen.. I kept getting lot of junks lately.

I think I had gotten 10 androids between getting rescued prisoners then I got 2 in one day a few days ago. They do seem a little bit harder to come by but not quite nixed out of the game.
