I know I've said it before, but let me say it once again... I've now spent roughly 65,000 energy, thirteen levels, hunting NPCs. I've not even seen a bane. People are complaining, "Oh, I've only been getting tricks!". Well, that's better than me. I've been disabled by 2 people in that time who, when I tried to return the favor, had multiple tricks on them. From this I can only assume that a) Somehow, I'm overwhelmingly unlucky in this game, and b) the chances of me getting even one of the bane cannons is essentially nil.

It's not much of a Halloween event if the boogeyman ships are so rare that even managing to be tricked by one is practically an XBOX worthy achievement.

PS. I can also back up the fact that I'm extremely unlucky in this game since I've only ever scanned 1 exotic, it was small, and never scanned a natural dyson, in nearly a thousand scans, and I've also been unable to get Caelon to show up in that NPC blitz, but that's me just being bitter.

I did too, I have over 2500 scans and only found a tiny exotic.
I was about to post that 1000 scans is NOTHING and don't be expecting much good in it.
I can't believe that someone would be complaining about no dysons in only 1000 scans
also, the caelon, it's EXTREMELY RARE, takes thousands of NPC kills, not just a few NPC blitzes.

In times like this, when a student in my class comes to me with a gripe similar to yours (but within a school yard context), I have this wise saying that I think applies in this situation:

I don't care if anyone wants to call it wining or not, if you literally have next to zero change of getting a Bane, then Dan, if you are reading this, up the percentage a bit. I tried last year and never saw one. Alot stronger this year and have been killing NCP's constantly & have only seen one, which gave me a trick. Players want them to get the Bane Emitter's, but if you have to spend 2 or 3 weeks killing NCP's & never get any, it's very frustrating. It's like the horse with a carrot on a stick dangling in front of it. No matter how it walks, it never gets it.

and here I was thinking there are too many Banes for the time given.. 3 ranks... 3 overcharged em's, 2 hypercharged em's, and 4 traps so far.

Yeah, I just stopped my grind at the 4th cannon.

I'm not even bothering with the bloody things at this point.

Yeah dude. I've probably spent 80k energy for 3 hyperharged an 2 overcharged emitters plus 8 or 9 tricks. Had more since Friday.
