 Extra column on base damage

Another column, showing how much ENERGY people have spent on the base, with perhaps a special reward, Credits or something, to the person/people who spend the most energy on the base.

For example, a rank 100 could really try against a level 4, and from 500 energy they'd be lucky to deal 2500 damage. A rank 300 on the other hand can easily do that in less than 100 energy.

This would let leaders see who's trying to kill bases, because effort counts for very little, just raw damage.

Also, let defenders see the damage list.

The idea isn't terrible, but it kind of rewards weaker ships. No one wants to reward the weak. We want to see them destroyed.

Seriously though, I think Spyder's idea has merit. By being able to see the damage/energy ratio, Leaders can not only reward (within the legion, nothing official from GL) those that are "trying" but it also give them more information to allow them to guide the "little ones" in ship building. Personally I would rather see a little ship dump a bunch of energy into a base combat consistently showing effort and willingness to participate than to see a more powerful ship one-tap for more damage. Eventually, that little ship will grow up and if the effort is maintained, THAT is a better base attacker.

Base damage against their ships should be an incentive in itself. They suck. they take mad damage. Let them fix that issue themselves, not reward them....

Or biggest loser ship. Lets just tell it like it is. What sort of rewards were you considering? perhaps a random planet lost because your ship sucks?

This has been a problem from day one when the base battle took effect. There were instances were ppl would tap the basse and stop. Some ships will keep on clicking even if they are doing 1 -5 worth of damage. Giving extra badge for the most effort is not a bad idea. But giving artifact for weaker ships because they had to click more is a big no no.

Rewarding effort yes. Rewarding being weak not really a good idea.

When a when a base battle is decided in 2 minutes this is not really an issue since the average clicks to kill the base is the same. Meaning from the onset of the attack to disable the same amount of energy is used by all attacking ships. This changes when its an assualt with a base that's defended.

It might be too complicated to bring this to the equation.


The other thing about this is its going to be unfair for "heavy hitters" which are really important to disable the base. Again if the heavy hitters stop attacking then the weak ships are going to be screwed.

Idea: Move one person per legion involved up a "reward notch" based on most energy used.

Obviously wouldn't effect the top guys, but it could mean that a low level who contributes #1 damage now has a 10-20% for successful raid and an extra badge or two

Add to your basic raid chance the (% of energy you used against the base X5) , compared to everyone else (so if you did 10% of the energy used, you'd get an extra 50% raid chance).

This gives the people who try harder a better chance at loot, without detracting from everyone else, because it's a bonus.

I jus don't get you guys. What does it matter what kinda energy was sank inte the base? From what I see, it's usually 3-5 guys who do 90% of the damage, and dump 90% of the energy into a base. The ability to fight a base is already measured by the amount of damage you can deal, an ye arr rewarded with silver badges and, for level 4 and up bases, with crates. If ye arr dissatisfied with what ye arr gettin, jus go ahead an say so! Stop tryin to make rewards for thing that most times just stack on the same people.

Here's an example. I have a 7.5k energy bar. Last major base fight I tore it apart wit 2 energy fills, an did far an away the most damage. In the legion I was in fer that one, I lasted the longest (toughest ship), did the most damage because I lasted the longest (also because I had the biggest guns), and if ye arr gonna reward me three times instead o twice what's the point? I already get the 100% raid chance an the silvers, so jus make THOSE better, rather than tryin te invent some other way te make this stuff complicated an backwards.

Paulfrick's comments are null and void.

Moving on...

+1 to energy display. Not everyone has uber 20k attack to bust through base defense. Also we need more incentive for weaker ships to participate in base combat. Weak ships help with energy and damage. Every bit does help, especially with L5+ bases.
