being in a legion means you should have better communications with members of your legion
so why does it cost 5 energy to put message on a legion member's ship's comm ? i think it should be free, or at least at a reduced cost
or perhaps the legion could acquire a module for their base that allows this capability ?

reduced cost seems more realistic.

the only real reason that there is a cost, as it appears to me, is anti-spam isn't it? (you can probably report spams but it's still annoying)
It's unlikely, although possible, to have legion members spam you.

I would think that free comm is fine for loyal members of rank 50+
and reduced cost for loyal members in general.

Actully, I won't mind having reduced cost for anyone who reach like rank 200 or something. Few would risk something "done" to their account after spending the effort to get to rank 200. (although 5 energy becomes a much smaller "cost" when you reach that rank already~ but still~)

well there is a comm at the bottom of the GL game and tht is free just post there unless if ur message is personal, plus they 5 Energy to do that is good because its there to stop spamming and posting all over their comm's, plus im sure everyone in this game can afford 5 energy if u havnt got that use relays and wait

Also comm between ships is open for public viewing and not just within the two ships chatting, if you need to chat to someone get them to make you a friend on Facebook and send them a PM, won't cost you a thing.

TBH, not many people look at the comm. Many people look at modules and stats and the actions screen. Unless they're typing 'badge', they wouldn't look at the comm.

Well count me in the group that does read comms. I periodically review our legion members, comms on anyone who is alerted and anyone applying to our legion. I also check the comms of several regular visitors to my battle tab and anyone that ends up in my news for traps, planet attacks, whatever. I've seen some rather interesting (and potentially embarassing) remarks on some folks comms. Its not the best place for private communication or intralegion discussion. Use the chat or use FB.

Still, on the occasions that people do use the comms for legion members (maybe even for friends or allied legions), it should be reduced.
