Hello,

Please make ALL type of disabling including self-disabling (Don't know how it works) being counted as actual death. We fought many players and saw some players being on perma-disable after gaining lot of restriction without gaining any deaths is a cheap method to avoid being disabled by enemies when offline.

So please change that so they won't feel urge to get self-disabled knowing that it'll give them death for first time.. I see this method is starting to spread among enemies so please fix it as soon as possible before it grows too big.

Thanks..

This has already spread too fast and it needs to stop .. I can tell that we can disable ourselves from getting hit with an enemies Gemini cannons and this might be the way they're doing it.
If so then it needs to be counted as a death.

I haven't been killed by Genimi cannon before. Do you actually get Death off Gemini cannon?? If not then it must be counted..

Here's how ya do it:

Remove all defence
Remove all hull
Go tap exotica

Voila! You self-disabled!

That aside, big +1 to this.

IF so then it must be counted as death. It's cheap shot to get self-disabled without death.. Problem is that our enemies (most notably one enemy with extremely low death count even with so many fights) are doing self-disable all the time for long time and they own that Exotica so that must be OTHER way other than Exotica trick..

I would agree, any sort of disable regardless of the origin should count towards your Deaths stat.

Yep I've been disabled from them a few times so it's probably how they're doing it.

Heard about hitting Exotica is how you do it but didn't know about removing all of the modules.
Makes a lot of sense if you're going to do it.
This should be able to be stopped because they're going around disabling a bunch of people and then disabling themselves robbing the enemies chance of getting them back and if it stays in the game then it needs to be counted as a death to encourage enemies from doing it.

They might choose to self disable and take the death so the enemy can't get his revenge on them so I vote to let us not self disable for this reason.

i like this idea, and yet i dont like this idea. i get disabled alot by bases, npcs, etc. if all of those deaths counted... then i would definitely not be at insane combat rep. i would probably go far enough to say i would be at laughable, even though i have over 1000 kills. while self disabling can be a problem if youre seeking revenge, but otherwise... i'm not so sure. i would say have there be a second stat called total deaths under player deaths. that way, theres still a distinction between when players killed the guys ship, and when he's died other ways.

Those actually disable you though, not just knock you down to 10% hull?

honestly, i like the deaths by players stat the way it is... to me, it dosnt matter who disabled you, just that youre disabled. I usually dont look at this stat when i'm attacking, i just look at the action counters. but i look at it when i'm either looking at my ship, or comparing to some higher level legionmates.

the stat dosnt really need changing... unless youve died several hundred times. which, at that point i dont think it really matters. besides, i dont think the game keeps track of WHO killed you, just that you died... so i cant really say i support this idea.

hmm..."you like the deaths by players stat the way it is" yet " i would say have there be a second stat
called total deaths under player deaths"

make up your mind?

It's not right for someone to know that they would be disabled, and then disable themselves to avoid that blemish on their record. In addition to being cowardly it is circumventing the system. This would also give people more reason not to bash themselves literally to death on NPCs, bases, planets, and player.
