I did not come up with this idea, but i thought it was good enough to get its own thread. From what i understand, planetary events have a chance to appear on one planet in all of your scans. What i would like to propose is that each individual planet gets its own roll to see if an event occurs. This would result in 'more' events happening, but it would also be more realistic (if you can say that). Right now blockades are exceptionally rare. With this, it would be more likely for people to see these exceptionally rare npcs. Even if the other events arnt rolled on an individual basis, i think blockades should be. It can only result in extreme loss of production on the players part, so this would be beneficial to slowing people down, which i believe is dan's ultimate goal.

also does the rift only blockades count separate or is there chance of appearing the same which means the more planets you have the less chance of them showing up

Im almost positive that I've had multiple planets with effects on them, that were weekly occurances.. they dont all happen at the SAME TIME for STARTING, but ive had one planet pop up an effect one hour, and another one have another effect a few hours later.
Remember that all planets have their unique timer which started when you colonized/invaded them, and iirc that's the timer it goes by for what time an even has a chance of happening. IE, you invade planet X at 630pm, so every day(maybe its every week) at 630pm, the RNG determines whether or not your planet gets X effect.

Every time i've had a random planetary event for the past 3 weeks(which is when i started taking note), they all occurred right at the same moment my ship upkeep was paid for the day. I've never taken a planet around that time, but thats when all my events have occurred.

I think maybe 15 planets of mine have temp effects on them,'and so far I've had 2 blockades. Is this the RNG's way of making up for me scanning the worst planets in the galaxy?

Is this the RNG's way of making up for me scanning the worst planets in the galaxy? trust me man, that title has fallen to me. the best planet i scanned for 50+ levels was a small extremely abundant... the best planet i have on scan now is a massive 2x. Not made by me of course... but still made. But essentially, there may me more effects than one active at a time because the effects last for a week. But, there is never more than one effect per day that shows up. The resource events arnt really my concern though. Its the blockades. Each planet should get a roll for a blockade. Which means that potentially more than one planet can be blockaded at once.

This might be a good idea for a planet roll.

What I said last time was that blockades are took rare. That only a handful of players have seen this happen. And there was no wat of making the planetary events happen a lot more.

how about a repeatable mission that spawns a blockade on one of your planets ?

Every planet should have a 5-10% chance of getting a random event (good or bad) daily.
Just think how much stuff goes on in the world daily... war, drought, famine, natural disasters, new medicines, new resource fields, improved technology etc etc etc
One event a week across all my planets seems a bit underwhelming...

Been asking for this ever since Events came out and ever since I tried Xecti Governor. Still say it over and over, never changed thus far even though I asked Dan about it.

Other than that it seems to be a once a day draw. Also +1 to the topic idea.

Definite +1 to this idea, even if it's only for blockades (although it would be nice, and slightly more "realistic", if it applied to other events).
