I am trying to become a Kroyn, but I would just like to know what people think the best profession is. I was thinking maybe builder, but I don't know. any thought (NOT biologist)

Excavator: +10% Artifact

The rest of them are either bad, crutches or limited in their usefullness

Kronyn: Erudition
Excavator: Artifact +10%

as above, forget anything else as its not worth it

The ability. Boost research level by 1 every 40 hours for 200 energy.

Didn't know there was a specific name for it.

In general i would say you have two options. Either builder or excavator. If you can excavator is the much better option, but this in part depends on if you currently or at some point will have enough arti production for this to be worth it. Only way that it probably say to go builder would be if you had a high upkeep that you were having a problem with. If you do have money trouble and aren't getting help builder might solve that and open your planet options to taking more than just mining. Problem with this is you can start to slack on mining planets and when you want to switch race again you may be limited to choosing a builder. Id say best option would be excavator if you can afford it, and have the arti production to justify it.
