So, as I understand it, these Dysons can not be given to you despite being unoccupied without buildings, or etc.

Problem is, they still take up a "Dyson" slot while scanning. The rarest of the rare planets, and many of them are "held" by players who have quit or been banned.

Imagine winning the lottery, only to find someone else had bought the same card before you at some point in time and so you received absolutely nothing.

I think either they should be made occupied-able, get a free replacement Dyson (random, or with equal stats) or something.

I had this happen to me - and looking on it, the situation is ridiculous. If the rarest planet type in the game can be cock-blocked from you because someone quit and their planet is still out there in the open .. well, look at the lottery metaphor. It's ridiculous and unfair to people who make that one-in-a-million lock on a Dyson-type planet.

Just throwing my frustrations out there.

as far as I understand, planet scans are NOT by type, but rather equal chance for all individual planet(ofc, whether you can lock it is another matter) And therefore those planets should not affect your chance to scan a proper natural dyson.
the un-occed inv dysons are made from metallic, usually crappy ones. So just mentally change them to VT VS metallics and you will be able to live with it.

Now, I won't be against removing the planet from scan pool completely, as it is useless. HOWEVER, they should NOT be made occupiable in any way or fashion

-1 Because if that was to happen no one would need to make there own dysons when they can find invincible planets that can be occupied

I see your point but there is one, major, problem with it. Multi abuse.

Someone could make 10 accounts and wait for some time. After a while they can make Dysons out of planets on someone elses scan. They then reset and get the planet location off of that person. Bingo, you then have 10 Dysons more than anyone else, which would upset the balance of the game.

Good idea, but due to the problems "-1"

Better idea...make them turn back into the metallic they were made of.

I like the idea. However I think that for ten days after the ban or reset the planet should still be invulnerable. This way multi's can't make one alert it and then reset allowing the other player to get it. This way you would have to scan it which is so hard to do. lol

lol I have never scanned one of these worlds. The more rare a world is the less % chance you have to scan one. So finding a Dyson or a rift is very very hard to do. You just get lucky to find one.

I agree these planets should only remain invincible if that player is still active.... once they go inactive and the planet has been desolate for I believe its 10 day they should become possible to take.

as mojo said it is next to impossible to scan one of these let alone to finally find one and have it just a pretty rock that you can only stare at!!!!

Make it simple 6months after the owner either reset quit or was banned drop the inv stat on it and let it be taken. Upon being taken it gets the inv stat back.

Never going to happen, many people have made so many threads about this, and frankly it's an unfair advantage to have a free invincible dyson, you get one and one only.

i do not want them all to be inv i want the 10k def atk and cloak and inv ability to be wiped and the planet go active as they once were.

I have no issue with people getting to keep there 2 inv planets if they play. but when they stop playing the planet should be re-opened for players to use once again.

There are many that already have multiple mission dysons... so it unfair to the rest that when a player goes inactive there planets should not be open . I found a mission exotic sucks that the player is no longer in the game and it just takes up a slot cuz you can not do anything to it. So i understand those that are lucky to find a dyson of the same to want to be able to use it.

And waiting 10 day so no one can exploit the alerting and retaking of it!!!!

I don't care what's happened in the past, Dan himself has explicitly said that invincible planets will never be made colonizable ever.

they were made inv to stop you from taking them from other players.... that's fine once that player leaves the game it should no longer be an inv planet.... that ability and the passive buffs should return it back to hat it was or keep them completely separate from the game scanning altogether.

FYI: the mission dysons that can be occupied by others STILL an be occupied by others and/or invaded. So if you feel it's unfair, go steal theirs.

wow never said that said just point out the fact they are out there already.

once agin it was implmented to stop players from taking them from other players.

there is nothing wrong with having them out there if the player is inactive!!!!!!

Why not just drop invincibility, make em a regular nat dyson, or remove them from the game completely so you don't have to purge. You may not want that VT sparse barren but you can still colonize if you want to. Might as well be a slap in the face to find one of the best planets you can ever find only to have to purge it. These people were banned/reset/left, the planets are already out there why not make them useful and stop wasting space in the galaxy.

I think you guys got the wrong impression from my post.

I just want the "invulnerable" status taken off, thus making them take-able.

6 months after the person quits? Fine by me.

But if these planets are going to be in the pool of the RAREST PLANETS IN THE GAME, it's inane and ridiculous that that list is populated by planets you can't take period.

illogical. all of those dysons started off as baby metallics which were not in the 'rarest' club. making them dysons only INCREASED the number of dysons in the universe of 4 million planets - the natural ones that were there are still there.

You still have the exact same chance of scanning a natural as stated by many people, this doesn't affect you in any way except for dissapointment. I mean you can say it's a waste of a scan slot, but when you have that many planets to purge anyway, who cares about 1 slot.
