According to this post viewtopic.php?f=7&t=25811 we will see a lot more ppl interested in the mission planet since there is a medal involved in it now..

Why not make it where certain ranks of legions can actually have a crack at it and defend it...

Example:

Ranks 200-300 can only see it and fight for it in thier rank brackets...
and the rest...
Ranks 301-500
Ranks 501-750
Ranks 751-1000
Ranks 1000+ well they can duke it out among them and see who holds it..

Edit: also make the medal reward as Mark1, Mark2 and so on as members move up the ranks..

Given the drama surrounding Exotica 1.0, I have to -1 this idea. I can't imagine 5x the current flaming.

I dont see how this would become a drama when this concept will work such as certain npc that we cant see once we hit a certain rank..

Example:

Ranks 1001+ cant see whats going on the exoctica's ranks 751-1000 neither ranks 501-750 cant see whats going on the ranks 301-500 and so on...so basically cant get involved in that war to take nor defend the planet at those rank brackets..

BUT, there will be flame wars for each rank range...

In case there will be flame wars x5..no need praticipating in them if you dont fall in that rank bracket.. also just recentlly we got a new forum mod let him earn his stripes..

I've got to say -1 to this. It'd be too confusing and in some ways unfair. Planet tech quickly outranks ship tech due to multipliers etc, so it'd be TOO DIFFICULT for lower ranks to get it.

HOWEVER, a way to "split the power" so to speak would be to give a continuation to the exotica mission chain, unlocking more King of the Hill planets. You can't guard them all at once after all.

Nope...High ranks are always bored and have nothing better to do than try to own everyithing and dont like to share except with in thier legions... also it would be pointless to have more king of the hill planets where everyone has acces to them= more flaming.. my idea might work.. I think.. and would give chance to lower and mid ranks a chance a crack at the planet...

If its based on a persons attack or def thats kinda a slap in the face to those who worked hard to have a good ship.

To be honest Im really trying to understand what you are posting but for some reason dont get it...

1. Unfair?

Lets say legion X has 6 players that range from rank 200-300 and take over Exotica then they defend it.. Legion Y comes along with 8 players and retakes from them..is that what you mean Unfair?

2. Planet Tech?

What does takeing Exotica in rank brackets of 200-300 has to do with planet techs? As every day that pases by Exoticas def its in -%..

3. TO DIFICULT ?

Try takeing Exotica now and let me know how you make out.. with rank brackets would even give a chance to lower players a crack at it..

Just imagine all ranks brackets of Exotica are held by one legion... That would be awsome... That would be the num 1 legion for me in my book..

well if i can hold exotica for 45 mins in my crap ship i think 36 of my fellow legion mates could hold it for a day, just need to get the mission unlocked, then begins the process on the pop beat down. Its not as hard as you think yea TBH are trading it around big woop, its not like many of us low rank are gunna be hitting more then 1 anyway, and no matter what it hits max hit on you every time. All you need is just a bunch of low rank ships with full energy to wear that beast of a pop down and then the ships are easy just debuff and gone, then just comes the capping of exotica is the only real challenge. And if you ask why my legion hasnt done it yet? well only 3 ppl have it unlocked and the rest are focusing on stuff they actually helps them in the long run instead of a purple turd floating on their scans.
