How would you go about invading a moderately strong planet and then holding it from the enemy legion?
Conversely if you find your planet under attack what would you do to defend it?

Invading a planet:
1. Organize as many Zolazin Saboteurs as possible. 2. Warp any guards away. 3. Quickly use debuffs (Ion Storm Charge, Orbital Mass Disruptor, etc.). 4. Take down population (Better with help). 5. Get Saboteurs to use their ability. 6. Invade. 7. Brick/Flux the planet.
Defending a planet:
1. Brick up the planet. 2. Flux OR Tempo Flux if attacker backs down.
EDIT: Bricking a planet means to remove most or all production structures and fill up the planet with defense, attack, and population structures.

Also need to remember when defending the planet to also keep using cloning pods to stop the pop from going down too low. also use longevity serums, sentry guards, shield sentries, ion repulsor charge, alarm sentry, and if you have them drannik shield and or swarm traps.

What is Tempo Flux? temporal flux, its from a repeatable mission. flux's a planet as long as it hasnt been attacked in the past week.

The mission is the third one in the Aeon Moon Chain. The second mission gives you 3 planet fluxes.

One last little thing, NEVER EVER use a planetary vortex deflector, it will stop you from being able to raise your population up again with cloning pods.

Id say only if you have to leave and wont be able to use the cloning pods it may be okay. but make sure to fill the pop before using and get as many guards on it as possible.

I would say thats a debatable one. I've stolen 15x arti planets before, put 9k population on it, had myself and my legion guard it, and then used a vortex deflector. How many do you think will waste 45k energy(9k attacks) to take a 15x planet back, then they've still gotta deal with disabling the guards after that.

This will only work, however, if you have good enough population structures, along with a supporting legion.

The best tips I can give for invading a planet is to prepare your invasion. Preparation is the key for a succesful invasion, luck is a part of it but still relatively small (if you have 90%).
For example once I waited 2 month to take one of my best planet back from a high ranked player that stole it and put high defense/attack on it.
