I suppose a good criteria for abandoned bases to be auctionable is when it has been abandoned for at least 6 months. At that point, there wouldn't be much of a prospect for its legion to go active and grow again.

The minimum auction prices would be congruent to the base levels, components, and other statistic variables.

Why should thousands of abandoned bases be left to rust? Many times, abandoned buildings are re-owned by new owners in real life so I wish for the same to happen to bases when their original owners have long-departed.

Bases get abandoned just about all the time. For at least the first 6 months of their abandonment, and until they're auctioned to their new owners, have all the free silvers you can get!

'Sides, abandonment doesn't mean their automated defenses will not fight back against you.

So basically you want the ability to buy a somewhat high level base possibly even a 5 or 6 without putting in the effort to build it? Sorry, big -1...

Without upkeep though they'll go offline.

Anyway, what purpose would buying a glass base serve? Resources? You can get more from your own legion base if you help out. Even then, the cost of helping your legion base as opposed to rebuilding a glass base from scratch is much less because
a) You maintain it by yourself
b) You have to purchase everything by yourself
c) If you hire someone to build stuff for you, you're paying by yourself
d) You can't leave the legion to go on trades because once you leave you can't get back in, therefore it's a one time expensive investment

I doubt anyone can maintain a base on their own, you would have to find people to help you and even then it's not fair to the people who worked hard to build up their bases. Sorry but -1

there are already far to many silver spoon players. we don't need to give them the ability to just buy a base.

The only point i could see for this is if you did it to salvage them, dismantle them for ctp or em. Granted I would say it would take energy to dismantle the base. Even then i dont see to much point in it.

I agree with ryoko we already have to many people that get spoon fed by others.

Buying a 6 base with no defense and 5x embassy 4x base hyprerforge would be around 1b/day. Assuming the base is 5x mega rich artifact, and +40% trade routes, are loyal, hopefully don't get scanned, and you also are a good pvper, then you get this:

3 badges/scan
440AP*26(lvl)*2(defender)*1.4(loyalty)*4(5x mega rich)*1.4(trade routes) and you get 180000 AP/day. 90k is still great if you are permanently giving free badges.
no annoying people disrupting the legion
All members are forced to donate.
1billion for great artifact production
do anything you want


Even a 5 base would yield high at a substantially lower cost.
280 *1.4(trade)*2(defender)*3.5 (3x meag rich)*21(level) is 58k AP/29k if giving away badges for little upkeep....

Level 4 bases aren't worth it
