help cure GL's legion herpes, give +1 to get rid of herpes.

there are soo many small legions that arent going anywhere and they block traffic, lets lobby to make creating legions more involved and difficult so we dont get any more 1 man legions.

i suggest putting a minimum amount of members a legion needs to have to stay afloat, and if it goes under then it disappears, given warning of course.

this would potentially cure GL's legion herpes, hurray!

I quite like that there are plenty of (semi) abandoned legions. It makes for easy base attacks.

Nope we need these tiny legions for the free silvers. To be honest there are quite a few threads about the little legions, I'm not entirely sure what people's problem is, they're not doing any harm, not affecting anyone's gameplay, in fact their beneficial like I say for the free silvers.

take away all the tiny legions and we could fill up all the semi decent ones to make them actually good, it would strengthen the quality of legions

Not really, inactive players won't suddenly become active if you disband their legion, besides if they wanna start their own legion that's what they wanna do, no-one can force them to join anyone else's. Just because you don't like them doesn't mean they don't have the right to make their own legion, everyone has to start somewhere right.

i would say no, because all the active players who are alone in their 1 man legions could be in a big legion getting nice base production and socializing with their leg mates, but instead theyre sitting in a giant $100B theoretical space base by themselves, and everyone in GL has 100B theoretical spacebucks? i think not good sir, i think not

Not everyone wants to just lean on base shipments, some like to build up, work for stuff and stay with their friends. Not everyone has the same ideals as you. And if they really were that active and if they wanted to join a bigger legion they would have, but they choose not to. As for the 100B stuff, I honestly have no idea what your talking about.

if theyre in a 1 man legion how can they "stay with friends?", and i was making a joke about the legion bases and how much they would cost in real life, because in real life not every buck and sally would have a gigantic superbase

Everyone has the right to play Gl the way they want, including be in a small legion.

if they want to be in a 2-3 person legion, then that is their right.

reaaaaaally getting tired of seeing all these suggestions that impose a playstyle on everyone. I'll play GL the way I want to, with my friends and with us building all of our assets, rather than jumping into a large established legion.

it isnt pushing play styles, its spring cleaning, and were talking about 1 man legions, a man or woman by themselves with no friends to stay with, if its just one person then there is no point to have a legion, since legion means more than one person working together

how about some constructive criticism for a change? offer some suggestions or solutions, whats the point of being in the suggestion thread if you just bash others ideas while offering no alternative?

Here's an alternative: Get a legion recruitment thread or offer mergers with them and see if those one man legions want to join. If they do, great. if they don't, big whoop. Not gonna affect you or the game in the slightest.

I should probably caveat that and add that I personally don't like having the galaxy cluttered with small legions, but as mentioned that's their choice.

that sounds perfect, thank you for offering your thoughts. if they put some kind of restriction on making or maintaining a legion then it would certainly help with the overpopulation of legions, or GL herpes

unfortunately there is no constructive criticism for this idea, the only thing I can suggest is make it harder to create the legion as rank 10-20 really isn't the best time to start the legion (my legion did however, and we're still doing great at 9 months).

Maybe if the legion has been completely inactive for 6months, then just delete it. but then there's the arguement over glassbases and free silvers which ever legion has benefitted from.

one suggestion (a while back) was to have legion advertising space on the legion list, where you could bid to have your legion displayed on the first page of the list, but only the really big legions would be able to compete with each other on that.

recruiting is already hard enough, without giving the new players the impression that they are being forced to join an established legion rather than earn something themselves. as I've mentioned in a number of other threads, there are already far to many spoonfed little children on GL, we don't need to make an environment where those tossers are the norm.
