That's a horrible reason
following that logic, why does dyson exist at all? Dan might as well made some larger exotic and no natural dyson at all.

Frankly, I think there should be natural rifts, thou they probably will not serve purpures that is much different from dyson, just cause there canbe random rifts in the universe

Dan would never add this as he is losing money.

- Natural Dysons are already in the game, A HUGE resource planet. Having one of these, would put off someone getting a mission planet for a while, Unless that wanted to rift it.

With the rift people will try and scan these instead of using terraformers/quasis to make good planets IMO

Maybe the next time Dan adds 2m planets into the game, instead of adding say 100 dyson, he can add 50 rift and 50 dysons.

As long as the ratio of awesome planet doesn't change, does it really matter what it is?

In fact, he could very well pull all the un-scanned dyson out of the database(which there might be a very tiny amount of) and delete those and insert dyson in their stead.

Furthermore, one or two good planet probably won't really change the drive to purchase good planets. If rift mission is repeatable, do you think there would be ppl who would do more than 3? I think there will be.
And for each natural rift, perhaps one less than the amount ppl would do should the mission be repeatable.
but as long as the amount is still over 3, it doesn't make a difference under current game setting.

Sure, there might be a few ppl who would buy less rifts. But how many do you think that would be?
Frankly, for every 20 natural rift added into the universe, chances are there would only be 1 less rift purchased. Most ppl would either have bought the rift, not gonna buy anyway or the natural rift won't really affect their decision.
And given the probably small number of addion, the overall change on that aspect would be very small.

awesome planets are not hamburgers which you can only eat so many of, you can never have too many.

Adding to that, rift planets will likely worth a reality transfuser for some(in fact, in the long run, probably 1 transformer for each 2 planets), and there is the off chance of flux sale(thou those are usually traded for~) amough other things should natural rift be added. Because they will be fought over. Would a small limited number of rift planet addion REALLY lower overall income?

There are economical situations that are not perfect subsitution you know~

PS: I'm against invinc natural rifts, natural rift should just be a awesome res planet like natural dyson, no more

-1 artifact/research/mining desperados. Just because there's natural exotic and dyson doesn't mean it has to have a natural rift. Want it? Then buy it.

I know -1 i made this when i was inexperienced all though having said it doesn't seem like a bad idea if had same stats as dysons because of new medals :P

What I would do, is to add them with the same resources ass natural Dysons, and split the chance of scanning between the two. Namely, if the chances of scanning a Dyson are 0.1%, the new chances of scanning will be 0.05% for Dyson, and 0.05% for Rift. That way, Dan should technically not lose any money, and we will get a cool looking extra planet.

thats like saying Dan loses money cause there are natural dysons out there. natural rifts would have to be super rare and super hard to find. for all we know theres already one out there that no ones discovered. this idea gets a +1 from me.

+1 from me. Some people can not spend money on getting this or have better things to spend it on but I also agree with the idea of making them as rare as Dysons. And they're RARE AS HELL.

With races to make planets better having x2-x18ish Rifts out there Invincuble could be fun. But adding more x60's and crap to the game IDK. Scan Runs are lame as heck i have never see so many tiny POS! seems like buying and making planets is the way to go now.

dont knock scanning planets if nobody scanned planets how could we buy these natural dysons every so often.
here is my idea have a scanable planet lets call it a proto rift it would look like a terra planet with rift energy and lightning around it
stats would make out as thus one would be around 40 mr another 20 mr another 10 mr and size massive . quasi expanders could be used to build up size to mega colossal but first 2 times used you would lose 1 megarich point chosen randomly and the third time you use an expander it would take 3 megarich points also chosen randomly. also if you could hold onto protorift for 30days in a row then it would become a full rift world with plus 15 to all stats and either 20000 defense or invincible that way you got to hold onto it tight and work for your rift plus if you wanted it full size you would have to pay for 15o0 gp and lose 5 megarich points from stats. you win dan wins and you have the ability for 30 days to steal one from someone.

Make them invincible, and unable to be colonized.

That way they're just a cool thing (tm) to scan, and alert for the medal.
