Who said anything about someone being farmed? You can start at 3 disables this morning and get killed by 3 different, unrelated people. Now you have the ability to sit back and lob all the CMs and nerfs at whoever you want. Someone gets alerted in your legion for a single no point hack (yes it happens) and now let's make him miserable by wiping his buffs every 5 minutes. Old school PvP is one thing, that's just being a jackass. Arti slinging from a zero needs to have some consequence before tomorrow.

There are dozens if not hundreds of threads here where people are going on and on about how the attacker has all the advantages in a fight, with the ability to choose debuffs, buff up fully, repair mid attack, blah blah blah you have no right to force me into pvp when i don't want bs bs bs etc.

This is a sneaky underhanded tactic, and it obviously works. Umadbro.

Also, CMs are worthless enough as it is without there being a further prohibition on their usage.

That said, if it were to be changed to suit your needs, I see the softcap on actions being a good idea. Max of 1/0/0 from artis alone, imo.

Nope wasn't playing when nets were around.

If I understand them though it was the old halcyon where they had no way of removing it on their own, which i already suggested it is like the new one and they can simply hack or raid someone and gain an action and do whatever the like.

How is this a prohibition of CM use? All it is doing is preventing someone from spamming them at someone without consequence. If they want to do it fine do it, but the attackers (now the defenders) need to be able to retaliate. it is just stupid that just because i am able to get someone down to 0 disables that they can have free rein on my play style.

Also this will allow people to bump the turds off the battle tab which is a bother in itself.

I think a better approach would be if the 0d guy was simply unable to use arts on anyone who had gotten a red badge from him in the last 12 hours until his disables were 1+.

1. A mechanic the game is already tracking (less code for Dan, who works on this alone and believe it or not has a job too, you can Google him if you don't believe me)

2. Punitive to the 0d as he can't use arts to make retaliating easier

3. Prevents the guerrilla tactics you are so up in arms over

4. Doesn't cripple the 0d guy the way halc would (two wrongs don't make a right)

Are you kidding? wait 5 minutes on the battle tab and there is someone to raid...been doing this since I was rank mid 80s. Aside for a small window when people are not at like GST-3-6AM. Even then there is the leader boards. Luck has nothing to do with it, either you want to take 5 minutes to do an action and fight or you are too lazy and have been beaten and thus should stay down.

Clearly you have never been in a war CMs fly constantly. The reason they are useless is because people have made it a rule of etiquette not to use them, which is their choice. It has nothing to do with being zero'd, they just for some reason find it some how justifiable to start shooting them when they have been beaten down. Hell a low rank shoots me with one I rebuff a few minutes later, shoot me again I zero them and then what they get to do it all day long and I have to suffer?

And again you are telling me how to play, and trying to say being 0'd should have no consequence. You are being hypocritical. I shouldn't zero someone if I don't want them to retaliate and they shouldn't retaliate if they don't want more punishment.

Let me put it this way. Zeroing someone is a punishment; maybe for stealing a planet , maybe for having such a weak ship that everyone targets you on the bt, either way it is a punishment for your actions. Don't tell me that a random person on the bt can play how they want, I know, but if they are being hit so frequently they are zero'd off the bt then they are doing something wrong and need to work on their ship.

It shouldn't cripple them. Raise their actions? Yes. A cap of 1/1/1, achievable every time the person hit zero would be a good idea to stop people using say, 10 disarming bombs and containment missile and say, a quantum flare (then getting the disable and hack). Looking at 15/17/17 actions just for that encounter. That's a bit harsh.

Bumping players always has my vote.

SO basically what you're saying is that when someone gets their ship torn to bits and utterly destroyed they are unable to fight back and that's a bad thing? That's the point of this idea, they shouldn't be able to, especially since it leaves the attackers completely vulenerable to debuffs/CMs all day without and repercussions to the 0'd person.


ROFL Fluff i've seen how often you are on in game... if you had to go a day without killing someone you'd be nuts. Probably trying to start war the entire top 50 legions minus ours...

Bump...being art spammed with someone with no actions. They should at least gain 1 ffs, they are engaging in pvp they should be able to be engaged back.

Some one who is engaging in pvp should always have a minimal 1 action. PVP includes artifact use on enemy players..If they want to keep the 0 disables leave the other players alone.
-Doesnt stop ya from npcing
-Doesnt stop ya from conquest(tho that will increase your actions once done)
-Doesnt stop ya from missions

I'd also say if they can't disable get em off my BT, but failing that Dan if they have NO actions of any type (raid, disable, hack) can they at least stay off the BT till then?....

Fluffy is a frustrated math teach in r/l, that's why he gives out zeros so much here... he can't do it there due to social passing mentalities in the administration.....

Instead of pacifying them they will have no way of perfoming an offensive action. And if their true intent wasn't to be pacified they should still be able to hit back. This can be abused as someone can zero out someone guarding a planet and they cant guard it anymore, nor try to invade it either. It basically means if you're zeroed you can't fight back.

Make it so that they can only perform offensive actions against those who ahve disabled, hacked, or raided withing 24 hours. Then it will get my +1.

I didn't. I killed him once on a planet. So it was for a medal and what not, but I haven't touched him since. He was disabled by all the people he has been debuffing so now I can't do anything to him and he can continue for a single disable to annoy me and how ever many others are on his log.

Dropping the guy 3 times a day then being unable to play at all due to cm's debuffs for 24 hours isn't what i call being able to retal.
