After seeing Zargor's thread about several of the NPC races lacking actual NPCs to kill, it got me thinking of some.

Octafari Barracuda Believed to be a scout ship, its presence indicates that the Octafari could be preparing to return. Matched, either Blockade NPC, orbits Oceanic planets (and maybe Icy), or just a uncommon NPC Hull and shield are equal, more defence than attack. 2 possible drops - Omni-Dimensional Scanner or Octafari Hydropod *Omni-Dimensional Scanner - Ship module, size 15, +60 scan. Max of 4 per ship. *Octafari Hydropod - Planet building, size 2, +3 artefact, +100 population. Max of 1 per planet, can only be built on Oceanic, Icy and Terra planets.

Octafari Command Barge Appearing to be a minor command centre, this collects data from the Barracuda fleets, marking out potential colony sites. Where this data is fed to is a current mystery... Rank 400, Elite NPC for 4 people, shareable to rank 350 to 9999 50,000 shield, 150,000 hull. also has 1,000 cloak. 5,000 attack, 8,000 defence. drops - Octafari Hydropod, Dimensional Cannon or Dimension Blocker *Hydropod - as above. *Dimensional Cannon - Ship module, size 12, +70 attack. Max 4 per ship. *Dimension blocker - Ship module, size 9, +40 cloak. Max of 3 per ship.

Voliir Hunter More extreme members of the Voliir race are prepared to go to extreme lengths to "save" the Bioships, leaving their space to directly assault those who assisted the Bioships. Matched NPC, viewable only after completing "A Destiny Unrestrained". High hull, More defence than attack. Cant think of a decent drop for this, so currently it can drop a dark badge. Suggest ideas please

Those are some pretty good ideas, we can always use more NPC's and more cool loot.
[Edit] Here are a few of my suggestions:
Human Colony Ship. A ship used by Human settlers to occupy, populate and extract resources from new worlds. Elite/Rare. (Top 4) Very high shields, medium hull. High defense, medium to low attack. Ranks 200-(?) Expires in 1.5 days. (36 hours) Rewards 100 experience. Ability(ies): Sabotage: Lowers targets defense by 30% for 15 minutes. Drop(s): (x% is the proposed drop rates) Cloning facility(40%): planet structure. size: 2, population: 400. +10% pop. limit: 2 per planet. Geothermal Drilling Platform(40%): planet structure. Size: 1, mining: 3, defense: +400, only adds defense if there are already defensive structures on the planet. Limit: 1 per planet. The Geothermal Drilling Platform extracts energy, along with minerals, from the core of the planet, the energy is transferred to the planets defensive structure boosting its defense, provided the planet has any. Subspace Modulator(10%): Ship Module. Size: 28, Shield: 400, energy: 80. Ship Limit: 2. Harnesses Subspace Radiation into a safe and processable form of energy, which in turn is used to strengthen your ships shields and improve efficiency in your reactors. Anti-Matter Converter(10%): Ship Module. Size: 26, attack: 140, Defense 180. Ship Limit: 2. Traps and converts Anti-Matter into regular matter, trough a process of (something). taking the left-over radiation, and channeling it into your weapons and defenses, strengthening them.
Human Planetary Defender. These ships are used by the humans to protect their most valuable planets, and have great defensive and offensive capabilities, and is usually accompanied by a few smaller cruiser-class ships. It could possibly have images of smaller ships, by the same concept as the Nightclaw and Cerulean Fighters, but for NPC's. These being the aforementioned Cruiser-Class ships. these could possibly engage you after you destroy the main ship, you would then have 1-4 smaller, weaker ships on your battletab, depending on how good of a planet you just took. the better the planet, the stronger the defensive fleet. (assuming Dan is able to code 1 ship, breaking up into several. I have no idea how hard that would be.)
It would be some form of planetary event ship, possibly something that shows up, occasionally, when you colonize an unoccupied world. Only when you colonize the planets that are presumably capable of supporting human life would be affected. Colonizing the planet in question would spawn the ship to your battletab, the ship, would then have a similar effect as a space entity. Only happens on Terra, Gaia and Oceanic worlds.
planetary event, matched. would be quite rare. High hull.(im thinking like 150 times your rank) Very high shield.(250X) so a rank 1k would see 250k shields, 150k hull. Very high attack.(16X) Extremely high defense.(22X) Dont know if there should be rank requirements to see these. Ability(ies): Sabotage: Lowers targets defense by 30% for 15 minutes. (Self-Destruct-Mode) (collision Course)(Kamikaze): Causes severe damage to opposing ship. The ships systems detect when its on the verge of destruction, at which point, an automated protocol takes over and sets a collision-course for the attacking ship, ramming you, causing severe damage. Expires in 5 days. (120 Hours) Drop(s): Terra Conformer(10%): Basically, an improved Terraforming device, improving resources by 2, rather than 1. Planetary Defensive Phase Shifting Antimatter Cannon System(yeah, needs a new name)(80%): Planet Structure: Size: 2, Attack: 1200, Defense: 1200. Limit: 2 per planet. Ship-Wide Systems Optimizer: Ship Module(10%): Size: 42, Attack: +130, Defense: +170, Cloak: +80, Scan: +100, energy: 80, hull: 260, Shield: 140. Ship Limit: 1. (550M upkeep) An incredible accomplishment in technological advancement, a module that improves, and streamlines the operations of all your modules, increasing their effectiveness. often referred to by humans, as "the ultimate Device" Rewards 200 experience.

Human Cruiser. (Breaks off of the Planet Defender Ships.) these ships are mostly used as support ships for larger, more powerful vessels, but can still be quite deadly on their own. Break-off ship. Matched. Low hull. Medium shields. Medium attack. Low defense. No abilities. No drop. Rewards 30 experience.
Vygoid Conqueror Prototype: A prototype ship created by the Vygoid race, designed specifically for conquering planets. Though its not complete, it is still a powerful ship. Elite/rare.(top 3) Medium hull. Medium shield. Very high attack. Low defense. Ability(ies): Vygoid Interference: Lowers the defense of its target by 20% for 30 minutes. fires a burst of data at your ship containing a complex virus designed to interfere with your thrusters and dampeners. Might need a new description on the ability. Drop(s): Vygoid Research Station: planet structure. size: 2, Research 2, research bonus: +3%(on that planet, not overall). limit: 1 per planet. One of the Vygoids research stations, still has a few Vygoids in it, which your soldiers managed to, convince, into helping you. Vygoid Bio-engineered Upgrade(new name maybe): Upgrades an existing Domain Walker on your planet to a Vygoid Planetary Guardian, increasing its defense and attack by 400 without adding size. utilizes the latest and most advanced technology of the Vygoid to improve upon the existing blueprint for the Domain Walkers. The Vygoid are a race that increases research, it makes sense that they drop research-related stuff.
I am, as always, open to suggestions and comments. Details can, as always, be changed. I will probably come back to this thread and edit this message several times, as new things come to me. Some of these could use different names or descriptions, i am to tired to come up with something good for everything.
