 Remove scrollbar for those who have more than 6 NPC slots.

I just got the 7th NPC slot on my battle tab and I wish I could reverse it. Now I have to scroll down to see what the 7th NPC is. Is it possible to get rid of the scroll bar, and just display all NPCs???? about a week ago I was just complaining about all the redundant clicking in the game, and now this. We put all that energy into getting the 7th enemy slot, and it turns out to be a big negative. Now I have the task of scrolling down before using the Tactical Re-modulation ability (removes all NPCs from the battle list), and I'm sure there will be other instances where I have to scroll....

I just want to say Thanks. The smiley icon that I'd like to use is not listed.... maybe thats a good thing.

Thats silly. There is no point in reversing. Just pretend its not there if you dont want to scroll.

You get used to the scroll bar eventually.

I would still prefer new NPCs were placed at the top of the list instead of the bottom.

I'm pretty used to the scroll bar after almost 2 years of using it, that said, i'm a big proponent of the NPC tab being a separate tab altogether, that way you could see all 8 NPC's at the same time, and it would allow Dan to introduce 2-4 more NPC slots.

I think this is a great idea. I'm holding off on getting my 7th and 8th slots simply because I'm not looking forward to scrolling.

I'd prefer that NPCs be split in the same way players are. Two pages of 5, but with the switch arrows placed at the top. Of course this would require 2 more NPC slots added at some point. They should definitely spawn from the top down too.

Exactly, there should just be two tabs for the battle tab. NPC and PVP. Display all ten PVP targets on one page without a scroll. Display up to all 8 NPC targets on one page without a scroll, plus slots for specials like the Attiroth spawns.

That way all PVP targets can be displayed at the same time, and so can NPC

This has probably been suggested a couple dozen times or more in the years since the 7th and 8th slots were first found, and has yet to be implemented. I've even suggest it myself once over a year ago.
I think it would be great, but realistically speaking, if it hasn't happened yet, it probably wont.

While he did not provide any real solutions persay, he does have a valid point. He specifically stated that the original statement is flawed in that one of the point of complaint have no relevance. That is to say, while there is no benefit there is also no harm.
And it might not be true to say that there is no benefit at all. Scroll bar and bottom loading might be kept due to auto ranking as well as auto clicker countermeasures. Considering how easy top loading should be(within 3 lines of code should reverse it), that's the only reason I can think of for it to have stayed this way for so long. So while there is no benefit for the players, it could be beneficial to Dan and/or the game overall. Of course, this is only guesswork and we won't know unless Dan spills the beans.
At the same time, you also need to learn to read. The guy already got his 7th, and that's why he's complaining.
So overall, even without the attitude, your post would be wrong and inappropriate. What you have said about him can be said right back to you.

Now, back to the topic, top loading would be the, IMO, smallest simplest fix that can get things done. Hardly need to scroll when the stuff down on the bottom are stuff you dont wanna hit OR an elite already locked and shared. And as mentioned above, it should be the simplest and does not require to edit the UI structure.

It doesn't prevent NPC auto-clickers, Death of Shadows account was banned for that very reason.

It doesn't prevent NPC autoranking either, as i've been doing that for the last 2500 ranks. What stops NPC autoranking is your rank, because its freakin tiresome at rank 2900 to do more than 2-3 pure ranks of npc'ing a day.

At the end of the day, this is something we'll likely never see implemented anyway, be it a top loading system or a separate tab, because Dan most likely doesn't see it as being something worth spending the time on.... Which if it meant less new content i'd have to agree with... begrudgingly of course.

Countermeasures aren't always about "preventing", anything that decrease the effect of or increase the difficulty of the specific countered action can be considered a countermeasure.

If the game is programmed in the way I think it is, then 3-5 words is all it takes to make it into a top load. All he have to do is insert a sort command in the select query when the game pulls up the list of NPCs. The hard part would probably be finding the line of code to add it to. And if it's not the way I think it is, chances are it's still under 3 lines of code to write it in the UI page. This is why I'm supporting top load as opposed to other options, the others require redesign of UI which would mean a lot of code(granted it's mostly copy paste, but if it's done in proper coding style, it's still going to be quite a bit of work)
