Just a quick question on the damage cap in the case of a odd number for the calculation. Example: if a ship has 101 decks (or a lvl 82 ssb) is the damage cap 50 or 51?

Rounded up. If you had 101 decks, the cap would be 101/2 = 50.5 (^51). In terms of actual DMG cap, it is Rank +19 , unless decks are more.

Good question from knowledge standpoint, curious from practical application....how worried are you about 1 damage give or take?

Thanks guys . I know it is a bit of a micro managing thing, but since I am exclusively using artifacts to increase my size (when need be) I was wondering if my ship should have an odd or even number of decks (most deck artis are even so it will stay the same once set). So now I know that the answer is even. It may seem small but a damage cap that is 1 higher could be significant over time. That is not to say I think decks are a waste and I even understand the appeal a lsb, but having and odd number of decks is a bad idea because the next deck is free anyway (no damage cap increase). (Note all of this assumes a ship that's damage cap is based on decks not a "true" ssb).

The thing that gets me about DMG cap is, why do people who have SSB go for under true SSB? Eg one player, 5k def, SCOUT class at about rank 170. Is it a raid thing? He would have enough helmsman/engineers anywyay. Plus, he is undefeated, always halcing. I just don't understand it.

You must disable this player, no matter the cost.

Anyone with zero deaths isn't a fight master, he is a wenis. The only way to keep that is to ALWAYS be halced and/or amped. Not sure how much game playing that person does versus checking his panty shields.

Recently hit lvl 100 and my battle tab jumped like 40 levels. In any case I believe I saw the "undefeated" scout ship you mentioned and he is indeed baffling as he could (should) add more decks without penalty (1 shipbot every even level as we have established). My legion has a strict alert policy but I do think somebody ought to disable him for his own good (trying to stay undefeated does indeed mean he will do dumb things and ultimately hurts HIS growth in the game).

Ive tried to disable him. He was online unfortunately about an hour after I tripped is halc and was waiting. We talked for a while. He *sorta* knows what he is doing. Has goals for his slow rank...but he isn't exactly spending his slow rank time that wisely

Simple fix take his planet, have him take it back and kill him while he is guarding it. Traps won't help him.
