Just wondering is there is anyone on here who is a similar rank that I could compare stats with. Also open to suggestions on how I could change my current build (other than adding more decks as I currently have 141 more decks than I should have with my target to be a SSB). Before you post anything, please do not be that person that just boasts about how their stats are so much better than mine.

My current stats:

Get your velox thrusters, if you have 5.2k base defence wth them before the 3x +5% bonus, they are more effective than transentropy drives (the best possible researched defense mods). Your very close to that @ 4222 + 750 defence. Your also stuck on Quantum overlays I see, so it would only make more sense. On the other hand, if your AP is way too low, this will take an excruciatingly long time. Hopefully you've managed to bring it into the 12-15k range? That should be enough to steadily get your 3x 100 helmsmen you will need. Otherwise, I'd suggest bringing your AP up to there first. The time spent getting there will be nullified by your higher arti pulls.

If you can, try and upgrade your Protean Armories to Protean Arsenals. I believe you need 600 medal points for that, so you will have to find easy medals to pursue and raise your total. Make a list of the ones you can achieve in the short term and pursue them. If you enjoy PvPing, you can also go after the 5000 raids and 8000 hacks medals, which take a long time. On the other hand, you will have more than enough yellows from this to fully rank Thraacti should you choose to buy it at christmas (495 yellows), fully upgrade CK69 Assault Sentry should you get it in the distant future (2880 yellows) and your protean arsenals (624 yellows). CK69 is pretty important for an SSB, because like the Kalvium platings, the fully upgraded version gives a permanent +6% hull bonus. The scythe plating can be eventually replaced with a Merged Datanode, which gives a +4% defense bonus once you max it out. It's a mission chain arti, first one in the chain starting with A Fleeting Aspect.

The stryll confinment chambers are really bad, but I can't think of what you can replace them with atm unfortunately. Once you research your defense tree more, you could probably strip off the 2x overlays and 4x confinement chambers for 3x velox and 1 of your highest researched defense?

Overall, your ship seems decent right now. You have pretty good crew for an SSB, but it can always go higher. Oh, and you can never have too much arti, like everyone says. Cheers :)

Other things to do if you havent done them yet:
Do the Aeon Moon Chain: Gives 3 Planet Fluxes and access to infinite TFOs
Do the Trellith Chain: Basically gives 10 Enumeration Crystals (but you can pick which resource), Energizers that let you upgrade +12s, and the +30% prod boost ability
Do the Zolazin chain until you unlock 2 more NPC slots and get the 3x glaviz devices for free race changes

Hi, nice post but I miss and important information - how long are you playing?
e.g. this is my r450 post, but be aware I took my time (2+y)

otherwise:
1) very good, that you are Talth already
2) SSB with big energy bar for r400 ish - are you done with PvP medals? how you burn energy?
3) missing stats info - how much you NPC, PvP, scan for planets etc - could you pls add this?
4) what from research you have done?
5) what is your hourly production?
6) what missions you finished? = abilities/slots gained?

Flux:
Thanks for all of the help
I have been playing for just over 2 years as well but most of that time I didn't play because I didn't get into it at the start. I don't know how much I have actually been playing for.
I added how many pvp kills etc.. I have and at the moment I am trying to npc as often as possible. Doing a scan run soonish because I have 371 planets on scan and ~200 purgers.
I added what I have researched

TrinityThree:
Thanks for all of the help but I am not really that into pvping at the moment (other than trying to get the 1000 kills medal when I feel like killing some people :P)
I will start saving for my velox thrusters so that I can get them ASAP
I have finished A Fleeting Aspect 3 time and will continue on with that now as well.
I will also try and get the CK69 while I am pvping for the medal (Should I prioritise this or the Protean Armouries?)
Haven't done the Aeon Moon Chain
Haven't done the Trellith Chain
Done the Zolazin Chain

Protean Arsenals first. Ck69 needs 800 medal points, Arsenals need only 600. Arsenals only need 624 yellows to get all 3, while ck69 needs over 4 times as much to max. Arsenals will increase raid bonus from +7% (from armories) to +9%, helping you slightly more at getting yellows for ck69. You can choose to do PvP whenever, but Id advise getting around to it before rank 1000, because then it gradually starts to be a significant energy sink.

Also this: Planets Occupied: 58
You have around 50 open planet slots. That's really bad. Try filling most of those up ASAP, but make sure they are decent quality planets. VL VR+ for arti (should be most of the slots), VM R for gas, VL toxics only for mining.

You seem to have enough MP for your upkeep, but your RP is decent too, so if you need to use contracts in a pinch, itll come handy. But iirc, this requires you to have 4X mil Research done.

Research UST when you can. Its the next most useful thing you can research atm.

crew.wise you are doing okay. you will reach 100% damage cap rating soon enough and then you can start adding decks for scan mods. (will need to spell out your scientist value as the exact numbers are getting caught in a forum spam filter). low medal points will hinder you from getting some very nice battle market artifacts so find a few high value medals to focus on and complete.

non.PvP stats are generally close, except you really need to be scanning more. that is the biggest weakness of the SSB, so anytime you get a chance to scan at a higher scan power ... scan until grey. explorer profession helps, as will researching the universal service terminal to unlock the wed and sat scan buffs. and, as someone else mentioned ... get those planet slots filled. planetary productions will fill out once you fill up those planet slots. note that my figures do not include your 10% excavator bonus.

if you are aiming for SSB, keep focusing on hull. shield mods are less useful until you are in the 1k deck range. a couple more mining toxics should cover any upkeep issues until you do a brain fart like i did and pick up vortov too soon. also watch out for the biospheric decimators ... the attack boost is NOT worth the uninstall/install repair costs so leave them off until you have enough decks to equip them full.time. and don't buy the upgrades to keep in cargo as one misclick will burn all those green badges ...

High scan# is no true indicator, and unless you are only rarely scanning and switch to explorer to do so i advise against scanning to gray.
Number is nearly meaningless as it counts scan attempts instead of planets found.
It would be almost like using battles to measure the amount you pvp/npc instead of kills.

this is atrocious advice for someone aiming for a SSB build. upkeep / repair costs for the top scan modules will wreck you at that rank. most lower level SSBs should only buy / install the scan modules for those limited scan opportunities, scan until grey, then sell the scan modules. the decks should normally be reserved for hull and weapons.

the other option is to give up on scanning for yourself until you have many more decks (and mining income) and rely on the goodwill and generosity of your legion mates. i don't recommend that path, as the sooner you become self.sufficient, the better off you will be in the long.run.

As i already said, scanning that way only makes sense if you scan rarely. If you scan more than once every 25days you should just uninstall the scanners as it would be cheaper to pay their upkeep. That's assuming no dark bots.
And maybe once when ku ran 10 per ctp would that upkeep be a problem, but now with it available at 130 to 1 that's not such a problem. Add to that the possibility of help from a high rank in legion credits shouldn't be a big deal.
