I wish this game would just tell you or give you an idea of how to get or do things. It's really annoying to have to go into this forum and see if someone knows. I want to build a building and it says i need political favor. ok, what is that and how do you get it? Why can't they just tell you! argh!

There are certain missions that allow you to gather political favor, specifically the missions that have a little golden crown listed in the reward. Visit the Wiki. Plenty of answers there.

well, technically what hes asking for is a more advanced tutorial. which could be a good thing, but it would have to be optional. personally, it took me maybe 15 seconds to realize you get political favor from the chancellor rescue mission, so i would not use this advanced tutorial, but it might help some people who like a babystep walkthrough.

Here is what I suggest:
have a beginner's tutorial that tells what every player needs to know.
then, whenever a new feature becomes available to the player (such as their first exotic matter, first Complex Tech, first NPC mission, etc) a brief tutorial tells them how it works.
