I only get notified and daily shipment arrives after i donate energy to the base is this supposed to happen

yesterday i donated energy and received shipment and today i went and viewed the base and i received shipment but the timer until next lot was about 22 and 21 hours

I have a button on my base that gives it to me. I don't think you have to look at the base unless you have the button.
