I've posted it on another post but I think it's more appropriate here.
Spoiler Below:

The Glaviz Elders use this device to shape shift into the forms of deities worshiped by their people. This elaborate political trickery has come to an end. When activated, it will allow you to change your race and profession.

I'm more interested in the stuff I got from killing those uncommon NPC's along the way. They drop nice artifacts. I got four that I've never seen before. I would suggest to have the NPCs randomly change everyday instead of gambling to kill one, only to see another of the same thing. I find it to be too much of an effort.

At the battle tab, it drops from one of the NPCs that are Zolazin. You have to kill some before one shows up.

Oh this really sucks. I stayed up around the clock, spent many points, disabled my ship, and more to get something you can buy for only 20 points. I spent more points recharging and using all my artifacts to complete this mission. YOU ONLY GET TO CHANGE YOUR RACE AND PROFESSION WITH THE DEVICE. No weapon, shield, or anything for your planet. I like my race and profession so it was just a waste of time, money, and resources for me. I going back to my farm

Im sorry I guess I have to say this but um, this is a godsend to nonpayers. And if you had a bit a patience you wouldn't have spent more then $3 on intsa-repairs when you have 2 weeks to do it. Dont hate the game just because you got ahead of yourself and assumed that the reward would be incredibly awesome for everyone (for payers its a "eh" thing to the rest of us its incredible). And dont get all fuffy and puffy in here when that info was leaked yesterday morning.

If a way it can open new missions for you (if you know a race has one just for it), gives you a chance for a change and see what else you can do. So long as you keep the last one to go back (out of the three) to what you are now if you want to head back. It is all good.

Ya not to mention the thing so many people seem to be overlooking, between this mission and just NPC battles im finding that this mission and everything I have to do for it has about a 1 to 3.68 energy/XP ratio (which is godly). So even if you dont PVP or want to change your race/profession its still a very fast way to rank up.

I agree. Experience and artifacts pulled a Crimson weapon from a rare.. It's not bad at all.. And yes, I will be changing my profession sooner or later so thats GP saved!

Can someone please verify that these items are raidable? I can't scrap them, but are they raidable?

Probably not. The only other artifact you can't scrap can't be raided

That's what I was thinking, too, just wanted to make sure before I add another to my inventory.
