it will be about the Geth in Mass Effect 1 and 2. (they are robots used for war but they had there own mind and turned evil. The Aquariums (i think) made them.
Well there will be 9 chapters
1 First Contact
2 The war begins
3 undercover
4 assassination
5 Sabotage
6 Planetary assualt
7 Invasion
8 New technology
9 war ends
ill put the other details in later

im all for a war scenario for the next biweekly. but i think because of copyright infringement we cant directly copy mass effect. plus we already have 2 machine based races, Vygoids, which are straight up cyborgs, and the Zolazin which are androids. id much rather have an insect based race to play with. either that, or some kind of steam-punk race that decided to have a full out war with space pirates.

everything we have so far is humanoid. the term humanoid is a description of the physiological representation of the alien. if it has 2 arms, 2 legs, 2 eyes, a nose, a mouth, etc. its a humanoid. its based on the human form. games and movies rarely portray characters as non humanoid, but i believe mass effect had several non humanoid characters, which was cool to see. i understand that dan wont be able to create non humanoid characters, based on his admission that he purchases 3d models and modifies them slightly (as you can see with the octafari-kronyn models) but thats not really an issue. people relate much better to humanoid characters than non humanoid characters because if they dont look like a person, then they are automatically catagorized as an animal, and therefor are subconciously placed on a lower plane of worth than a being that looks similar.

I think we need some nifty new alien races. Non humanoid would be nice. A great storyline to go with it would be nice too. Besides, this idea is based too much off of something already done before. I think a revisit of an old mission chain would be cool too. Here are some outlines I've thought of.
Revenge of the Stryll: War between the Stryll and Genetarr. When the Matriarch is mysteriously killed, which side will you support?
Return of the Prejor: Why are they back? And what are they running from?
The Octafari Attack: Their first plan didn't work, and now they are back with a slightly more sinister agenda in mind...
The Lazuli Civil War: The Syndicate is furious at the treasonous attitude of some of their members. Now the two sides are locked in bitter combat.
The Drannik Dilemma: The Drannik are being assaulted by a new generation of their former drones. Can they survive?
The Glaviz Experiment: The Glaviz want help again, and you are offering it. But will your assistance doom all space faring races to a new era of barbarism?
Good ideas right?

No, this is the best non-humanoid example.

They definitely need to revisit the Prejor, but maybe not now. I liked how this one seemed a little more unusual, with a message from the future. It'd be cool to have more things like that, such as inter-dimensional beings or other oddities.

From the fact that you specifically pointed out "game" and not "somewhere" is indicative of your knowledge of this.
