903 RP (1 kronyn exodus completed so far)
+5 structures, and 98 scientists now.
Konqul spy so no bonuses either.

What should my next planet be?

not to sound rude, but there sure have been a lot of "what should i do next" threads lately.... it's like... an entire borg collective playing the 2nd account

I noticed, thats why I'm keeping it all to one thread, which I started a while ago. I'm just asking because I'm getting a new planet when I rank up either today or tomorrow.

I think at this point you really need to find a top-tier mining colony. I'm only two planets ahead of you and my production rates are 718 MP/Hour, 1,021 AP/Hour, and 850 RP/Hour. Furthermore, I could have even greater MP and RP per hour, but chose to take out some production buildings and add more defensive structures, which I'll continue to do as I finish more rounds of The Kronyn Exodus. This decision was because I'd rather the mining and research only hit capacity about every fourteen hours, that way I don't miss out on much production overnight.

if you can take 400 attack and retaliation from a rank 400, I'll be happy to give you a mega rich mining very large toxic.

In my opinion, Hacking is something secondary. You should increase your abillity to disable enemy ships rather hack.

I mean no-one surrenders in a legion war cause they're getting hacked out.
Focus on your attack, hull and defence, this will protect your ship from being disabled, and being disabled counts to your combat reputation. Hacking does not.
I get enough cloaking and scan just from NPC drops so i don't research cloak.

OK. Here I am now:
1087 RP/h (Cap 12000)
381 MP/h (Cap 10000)
697 AP/h (Cap 20000)

I'm getting an artifact planet soon, as I've just hit rank 80.

My research is at (i.e. I am able to research):
Quantum Disassembly
Zero Point Energy
Disruption Fields
Quantum Jamming
Nanospheres <--- Nearly finished
Internal cancellation <--- I know it's low, but I have a set of dark ring thrusters, a lot of helmsmen and other special modules.
Sub dimensional sensors
Quantum assembly
AI logistics <--- 1/3

Am I right to go for an artifact planet next, and what should I research next?

Balanced simply on what I find. (Last scan blitz brought up a good few artifact planets.

you dont now, but u will eventually need mining.its best to stockpile now, so that when upkeep starts pressing you down, you dont go bankrupt

You're still two colonies behind me, but my production rates are seemingly drastically better at 772 MP/Hour, 1,264 AP/Hour, and 1198 RP/Hour, so I'll repeat my assertion that you really need to find a top tier mining colony. ;)

In terms of Research however, I'm pretty impressed. Despite the seven ranks between us, you're two tiers ahead of me in Stealth Systems; one tier ahead in Advanced Weapons, Advanced Power Systems, and Advanced Sensors; even in Defensive Systems, Planetary Construction, and Advanced Logistics; just a bit behind me in Advanced Armor; and one-and-one-third tiers behind in Shield Systems, so I'd suggest you research whatever you'd like. :P

I'm what you'd call a "mid ranker" - I don't blitz the levels, but equally I don't try to slow myself down. Here's my plan now then:

Weapons (most people in my BT have singularity launchers)
Planetary construction (two levels to +8s)
Logistics (Our base will soon reach lvl5)

The reason I'm thinking artifact, then a mining planet is that there must be a reason that the cap for artifacts is double the mining cap. And I run my ship on a shoestring - 2M upkeep, which I can pay for with 2 hours of minerals.

I'm not sure they're comparable because it takes many more AP to create one Artifact than the 1:1 MP to Minerals ratio, but I've slowed down my ranking and the fantastic number of permanent buffs I pull each days makes me smile. Regarding Upkeep, mine's 1.7M because, as a Spy who's been concentrating on Missions, I've yet to have the need to jump up in Weapons.
