I love making up races for this game, and I decided that I would share some. There are quite a few, but I hope that people will enjoy them. You may also share your own. Here they are...

Gurekelan
Physical Description-Large, humanoid rocks. Covered in orange spikes.
Ship-Numerous tubes, and girders. Their ships are shipwrecks all attached together by durable cables and tractor beams.
Racial Power-All non-research able modules are decreased slightly in size, and have their bonuses doubled. (Does not apply to energy and shield recharge modules, tier rewards)
Description-The Gurekelan are a race of silicon based lifeforms from a distant asteroid belt. They saw numerous starships traveling by, and impressed by alien technology began to manage to steal it. Eventually they became a space faring race, and enjoy stealing alien technology to improve it. They build their ships out of junk, and it shows. They are nonetheless durable, and dependable. The Gurekelan also have an honor code, that says theft is good. (As long as the theftee is alien) Recently, they have been cracked down for piracy, but they are well intentioned, if not annoying, and cocky. They have finally made alliances to quench their thirst for tech. They also have a sister race called the Girulek. I'll talk about them soon.

Hominn
Physical Description-Tall, thin aquatic reptiles. Imagine a swimming dinosaur.
Ship-A curved, organic blue colored wedge. One end is covered in numerous fins and antennae.
Racial Power-The Hominn are shape shifters. Their power let's them mimic any other race's ability that the player has unlocked, but at a reduced power level. They may copy numerous races, but the abilities all get slightly weaker for each extra mimicked power.
Description-The Hominn are a peace loving race. They have been driven to fight in recent years, however, they love the search for technology, and justice. They protect the weak, and are always into peaceful unification. They use their ability to shape shift, to coy useful powers owned by other races, and enjoy meeting new races for this purpose.

Skrelad
Physical Description-A metallic tower, covered with green moss, and with numerous tentacles protruding from the tower.
Ship-A large grey-brown cube covered in numerous other ship parts.
Racial Power-All current crew is doubled, and all crew gains are doubled. Crew offer a 15% bonus to what they offer.
Description-The Skrelad, are an accident. When the Meegu race (Who I will talk about later) tried to make a super soldier by combining organic, and inorganic materials into sentient lifeforms failed. The Skrelad seek to assimilate the various technologies and lifeforms whom they run across. They don't seek the actual life forms, but more DNA samples from which they can make better tissues. They are peaceful, but hate being threatened. When threatened, they can become very violent. They reproduce quickly, and create perfectly adapted versions of themselves for various tasks, making their crew very strong.

Meegu
Physical Description-Humanoid, with dog-like fur. They have elongated snouts, and large noses, wild hair, sharp teeth, and dull yellow eyes.
Ship-A black pyramid inset inside of a tower. The ends of each tower have a large black rectangular block with numerous silver, striped tubes sticking out of it.
Racial Power-Planetary Attack, and defense is increases by 20%. Invasion defense is increased by 100.
Description-The Meegu love power. They are the typical imperial power, and they do not like to bow down to anyone. Including their leaders. They love to conquer planets, however there is little point in owning a planet, if you can't hold onto it, so they harshly defend the world's under their rule. They accidentally created the Skrelad, and the two races continue to fight each other.

Girulek
Physical Description-Humanoid rocks. They are much more hunched and lack the spikes compared to the Gurekelan.
Ship-A central disk with two rods coming out of it. They are attached to several giant domes, spheres, and blocks. The entire thing is surrounded by tiny metal rings, and crisscrossed by cables.
Racial Power-Lowers the number of times to complete a mission
Description-The sisters of the Gurekelan, they are just that, since a majority of the race is female. The females are in charge, and males have no power, but are deeply respected, and honored. They reproduce slowly, and have extremely long lives. They are wiser, and less active than their piratical brothers. They aren't very advanced, and while their ships are slow, somehow get to where they go much faster, because of the superb navigators onboard. The two races do not fight, since the two sides know their deep connection. They don't listen to each other, but respect each other, and although there is an occasional brief fire exchange between the two race's ships, nobody has died in conflict, nor will any.

Cariin
Physical Description-Tall humanoids composed of a glass-like crystal. Their heads look sort of like big chandeliers. They are rainbow colored, and mostly transparent.
Ship-A large sphere, surrounded by several large disks. The disks are covered in tiny rods, and have small towers on them. The whole ship is covered in rainbow shimmers, and numerous small beams of purple light.
Racial Power-Any rank point gain is increased by 2 rank points. (Rank up gives 7 instead of 5. Rescued prisoners give 5 instead of 3)
Description-The second oldest race compared to the Prejor, this crystalline race, is wise, and smart. They listen to logic, and carefully calculate all of their plans, and procedures. They love to meditate, and often do that for extended periods of time. They have powerful metaphysical powers, but prefer not to use them. They use their powerful mental abilities to assimilate knowledge from those they meet, in order to increase their ever constant lust for information.

Sorlok
Physical Description-Massive spaceborne clouds of gas contained inside of a magnetic field. Inside the cloud there are numerous ships, stations, and asteroids.
Ship-Same as above. They are their own ships.
Racial Power-Decreased amount of energy necessary to do tasks.
Description-The Sorlok are very mysterious. They somehow formed and became sentient creatures out of both matter and energy. They are held together by a magnetic and gravitational field, and ingest asteroids, comets, and small planets for "food" and to mount their new technology on. By trading with aliens, they have gotten weapons, defenses, shields, and other materials necessary to function like a ship. They even built tiny ships and stations, and carry them around inside their cloud. The actual consciousness is a combination of both individuals and a single being. When they refer to themselves, they say phrases like, "we/us/I" in order to describe themselves. They are peaceful, though naive, not understanding many topics. When they are threatened, they will attack by wrapping themselves around a target, and bombard it with particles, tachyons and other radiation, and even lightning and plasma energy arcs. Not to mention their own borrowed/invented regular weapons. (Note: Sorlok ships would act like regular ships for the sake of balancing.)

Torolok
Physical Description-Tall, wide creatures. They have transparent blue skin, and tall domed heads with small bony crests on them. They also have four arms, and 5 separate mouth parts.
Ship-Two large wedges connected by a sturdy strut. It looks much like a Svax, but smoother, and blue. The ship is encased in a large purple halo.(This is not the shield)
Racial Power-They have 2 options. They can have a 1. 30% bonus to attack when being attacked. 2. 30% to defense when attacked.
Description-The Torolok are an older, and gruffer race. They don't like fighting, but when they do get attacked, they use an invention they call, "The Halo" to defend themselves. This powerful exotic matter generator creates a defensive field that can damage or repel enemy ships. The Torolok are extremely effective in groups, and have a kindred spirit. They are goverend by two groups, called, The Brothers, and The Sisters, who rule their race.

Vesh
Physical Description-Short, stocky, and pig-like.
Ship-A small crescent with numerous rods, tubes, and triangle on it.
Racial Power-For every 10% your ship is damaged, you deal an extra 10% damage. The more hurt you are, the more violent you are.
Description-Short, grumpy, and always looking to punch someone in the mouth, this race loves fighting. They are rivals to the Meegu, but are often allies. The angrier they become, the more violent they are. The more damaged their ships, the higher their attack output. This makes them hard to disable.

Like them? I take criticism, (Zophah, I know you will enjoy yourself here.) and suggestions. Anybody who wished to share your own may do so. I don't mind.

Here's my three ideas:

Infernites
Physical Description: Kind of like fire genies.
Ship: A fusion of other racial ships, with some bright orange power lines on it. Orange tint to shields.
Description: These fiery creatures of destruction arise from the cores of the tortured, daemonic worlds, eager for war. They were imprisoned long ago, but have somehow broken free, and will stop at nothing to take their revenge on the galaxy. However, they are also very organised and wise, and have managed to work out how to salvage and enhance space ships. They understand the importance of superior defence as well as attack. They hunt in swarms, as there is a great strength in numbers.
Racial Bonus: +20% attack and defence

Unique profession: Demolisher.
Allows the player to decrease a planet's size by 1 for 200 energy every 60 hours. Will only be available if a) you own the planet and b) there is enough "free space" to lower it by one (you have to remove structures). If the planet is "Very Tiny", then using this ability will destroy it, removing it from everyone's databases and abandoning it.

Erutans
Physical Description: Green/blue skin, humanoid, kind of tribal looking.
Ship: Looks like it's made of planet matter, like trees. Long, ark brown base with a wide "fan" of green struts. Green shield
Description: This is a peace loving race, who are renowned for their distaste for war, but ferocious protection of their colonies. They are strongest when they are on solid ground, but have found a way to use their powers from afar.

Racial Adds passive 10% bonus to planetary attack and defence.

Unique profession: Guardian
Allows you to DOUBLE a planet's defence for 12 hours, costs 100 energy, 36 hour cooldown. Also grants passive immunity to saboteurs on Gaia, oceanic, exotic and Terra planets.

Questars
Physical Description: Brown skin, humanoid, glowing eyes.
Ship: Heavily armoured, big leviathan - grey with yellow power lines, looks like a death star, purple shield.
Description: These strange, omnipotent beings seem to have no concern for anything except what they are currently focusing on, even if they are attacked. They are hardy creatures who show massive resilience, and once they start something they see it through to the end.

Racial Bonus: +40% defence

Unique profession: Missionary
Reduces the energy cost of all missions by 10%, and increases all experience gains from missions by 10%.

As for your ideas (I'll look at the powers):
Gurekelan: Perhaps make it apply to researchable modules instead - -25 to 30% size. This would make it better than the race that gives +10% decks

Hominn: Cap it at 3 powers - first one 75% effectiveness, then 50%, then 25%.

Skrelad: Perhaps make it an ability to increase crew by a fixed amount every x hours for x energy. And keep the crew effect bonus.

Meegu: Increase planetary attack and defence by a fixed amount (10-20%), and negates any invasion amplifiers (eg Psionic amplifier doesn't double).

Girulek: Good idea, except you'd lose out on the "chance to earn per round" missions.

Cariin: Good idea.

Sorlok: 10-20% energy reduction for everything?

Torolok: Make it a toggle option, and increase it to 40%

Vesh: I like it.

Thanks for the suggestions, they're useful. I think your races are good, however, I think you can be more descriptive on the ships. I go into great detail, about the shape, and what they look like. I think you could describe them better too. Other than that, you should continue making races.

The only one I don't like is the one that gives you 40% more rank points per level up..... Frankly I think that power is WAY too good. The others look interesting and fun.
