3rd combat slot ship (problem solved, again)

I got a 3rd combat slot from a mission ( wont spoil it by telling which) but the ship in this slot only has a limited duration while those in my original slots dont. Could you help me out here please Dan ( again, i know im getting a pain in the behind :p)

any NPC other than those required for missions have timers on them. If they are not for missions, and have been there since before the 'NPC timer update', then you must first defeat them for the updated ships to come up.

A problem I just found this morning, is that I only have 1 NPC slot. I have not fought the Stryll Deep Tracker yet, but I should still get 2 slots like I had yesterday. It seems as soon as a Science NPC timed out last night I lost the slot completely.
On another note, I continue to find NPCs with their timer only just starting as I click on them, even though they were supposed to time out 3 hours ago.

This is a known issue, but has an easy workaround. The game currently 'spawns' only 1 NPC at a time, so if you do not see as many as you should, just click the 'Battle' tab again for another to spawn.
