Considering legion bases are just like a huge NPC boss, wouldn't it be nice to get an experience bonus for everyone who participated in the base attack? Right now, base attacks are a really poor way to accumulate exp, I think there would be more draw if everyone got an exp bonus once it is disabled, like we do for NPCs.

Maybe the reward could be staggered based on how much damage you do to the base, the way the silver badges are rewarded now. Ideas? Comments?

I think it's definitely a good idea; I feel like I'd rather just go after easy level 2 Bases just to save some energy.

6-12 xp per shot is horrible, so yeah it had better give a disable bonus a GOOD one or I have no reason to do it after I get my npc modules.

add this formula for base victories and the reward would be very nice.

[(50 x base rank) x (.25 x # of active members in enemy legion)] / reward rank

example (50 x 4) x (.25 x 60) / 1

(200 x 15)/1 = 3000exp

Of course, 1 being the in the top 5 damage.
2: 6-10
3: 11-20
4: 21-30
5: 31+

(i scaled it back from the original post)

You gain the same amount of xp that you would losing and combat round. (Like when you're Krio'd.)

And I agree about some sort of xp reward. Delta's formula looks vERY promising. So long as its scaled proportionately to the size of the base, like Delta has in the first part of his formula.

i'd just simply do something like this....
with each attack you do on a base, the amount of combat XP you get per hit is multiplied by the log of (total dmg done so far, counting this attack)

then there's no need to do any final calculations at the end... the high hitters end up getting a big boost of xp throughout the course of the battle, perhaps even levelling once or twice giving them an energy refill during the battle

(just a concept... the base of the log can be adjusted if it looks like it'd give too much xp at base 10)

Great idea. Base combat has definitely slowed my ranking to a crawl. Though the formula may still need a little tweaking. Not sure 3k XP is quite justified. Maybe half that?

should be scaled by rank, ex. a level 3 base gives 750 exp, level 4 gives 1k, level 5 gives 1.25k, level 6 gives 1.5k, level 7 gives 2k. I realize that level 6-7 didnt follow the pattern, but it should give more from level 6 to 7 in my opinion. Idk if this is a good ratio of exp to energy, but i just came up with it off the top of my head.

well, i did the math off of a lvl 4 base with a full legion. that would be the most possible for a base of that level.

say the legion had 40 members, then it would be a total of 2000 exp. Not every legion has 60 members.

Example:
Today, I disabled a level 4 base that had a legion of only 3 members. With this formula, I would have only gotten 150 exp.

This would be that base. (I covered the legion name and base name for them, but you can still see that there's only 3 members)

Yes, it is a one-shot.

If that is used, then I would have gotten 1K exp for VERY little effort.

I like this idea, I wasn't thinking of inactive or 1 man legions when i thought it up. Based on members total would be better, but inactives won't ocunt towards the xp.
