Open 50 ranks after Thetacron Mine Trap mission.
Story line:
Our scientist have an idea to combine thetacrons and Omicron Mine Trap together for a new super power trap. The research is currently unavaible to us but it is a must have advantage! Dispatch the research team and find a way to make this possible! *Race name* end of transmission.
First mission:
5 parts per completion Requirements: 10,000 research, 1,000 Energy, 1 Thetacron Mine Trap
Rewards per part: 2,000 EXP per part
Completion (10 Completions): 1,000 Extra EXP + An alpha Quatuam Mine trap (What ever name, this is just for an example.
Alpha Quatuam mine trap: Description: This prototype trap offers a new tactical advantage
Effect: Lasts 1 week. This trap has a 50% chance of being tripped, the trap deals 5% damage of the TOTAL enemy ships.
Second Mission:
Description: A Break through on the Alpha Quatuam Mine Trap, The scienists have a plan to rig mines parts together for a masisve explosion, but be aware that the removal of the parts and reconstruction of the new mine can cause critical damage if tripped!
3 Parts per Completion: Requirements: 350 Energy + 1 Thetacron Mine Trap + 10 Omicron Mine Trap
Reward per part: 950 EXP
Risk: Internal explosion causing 90% damage to the ships hull, (15% chance)
Completetion Reward: 1 Tremendous Mine Trap
The Tremendous Mine Trap:
Description: after combining mines in a deadly order, the thremedous mine trap is born. it has the power to make any ship think twice in comming close range.
Effect: Last 3 days, after 3 days it becomes unstable and automatically explodes causing 25% damage of the total shield and hull combined.
It has a 50% chance of being tripped. The effect is 11% CURRENT shield and hull combined damage and 2% CURRENT shield and hull combined damage to the orginal owner.
This trap is stackable but only increases the damage of both enemy and owner. upto a maximum of 9 stacks. When stacking traps, ALL stacked Tremendous Mine Trap will exploded when the first trap timer runs out and cause 25% damage + 8% extra damage per trap stacked.
Stacked effected of 9 Tremendous Mine Trap: 99% CURRENT shield and hull combined damage & 18% CURRENT shield and hull combined damage to the orginal owner.
If one of the traps runs over the 3 day timer, the first trap will explode all 9 traps together cause a maximum shield and hull damage of 97%
End of Idea
Putting this in the game would make tactical hits and working in teams a must! making a more insteresting tactical game.

+1, i endorse all missions that give idiots a way to waste their energy more efficiently and without any real gain.
Oh, and yes this is a troll post, but it has truth in it.
