700 points is not enough if your a rank 200+
so how about a ratio for the research
ranks 200: 900
250: 1200
300: 1500
350: 1800
and so on

You know how much research that would be for me at rank 1769??
-1 this will never happen. Why overpowered. The high ranks all made it just fine here and we didn't have NPC's for part of the time allowing us to make all these 17X Plasma worlds. We didn't have the caches either to give us the 8 hours production for a good chunk of our playing time either. Not to mention what you may or may not get from your bases. It is fine where it is now.

It already scales in the fact that you will get more, no need to make each unit give more.

I agree it should scale upwards, but not as high as it was originally suggested.
Rank 1-300: 700 RP
Rank 301-600: 1000 RP
Rank 601-900: 1300 RP
Rank 901+ 1500 RP
A second idea would be to add a new CT Lab item that uses them, maybe a Ship Module that "Allows your Scientists to work more effiently thereby increasing the amount of RP your ship produces" from the scientists onboard.
Advanced Science Lab: 100 Alien Data Disks, 50 Ship Bots, 50 Calming Amps. Increases research produced by your Scientists by 5%, Limit 4 per ship. Deck Size requirement open to debate.

Even that still is too much. Look at the amount mojo has. That change would give him over 90b extra.
And we don't need more ct lab modules that have limited uses. and that mod is op anyways at high ranks

+1 I've yet to spend money on this game, and I'm doing perfectly fine for research. Be smart about it, prioritize what you want, do surveys for gp, and do some NPCing, and you'll be fine. At rank 294 I have 1m to go on +12 arti structures, then just Scan, Energy, and Syncos to go. And base research ofc, but... yeah. That'll be a while. lol
