I hate to see no active topics so while we wait for Chuhn, here's a couple more ideas.

Since the insane ramp of invasion cost after the 1000th planet is here to stay, it's only fair that it be matched by a similar ramp in the amount of experience required to get to next rank after 4000. I can accept the game is heavily biased to favor those who have an extra year of playing time but there is no point in the bias AGAINST those of us who grind hard.

Alternatively, how about a decline in the experience gained when doing missions like Stellar Cartography and Darkness Falls based on number of mission completions? Dropping experience by 5 points for every 25,000 completions would make it much less punishing to spend exotic matter and pyramids/void shells gained by careful cultivation of planets.

On the plus side, medal points are up by 25 so Chuhn is hopefully right around the corner...

the ramp of invasion cost has been fixed since before i started playing, as has been the xp required per rank. i figured out many moons ago that dropping my least productive planets was my best use of GP, since each additional planet added will decrease the scan run capacity since scan is only increasing by a small increment each year.

given the xp gains from missions, i have avoided doing unnecessary missions, so i still have dozens of missions available on my missions tab. i have
Quote:
Star Chart Purger (Uses Left: 35345)
in cargo, so i have no need to run the Stellar Cartography mission, but i have
Quote:
294584 / 301654 Energy
so that i can auto.rank that mission anytime i have a need to do so. if the mission xp was lowered for always available missions, that would be okay from my perspective, but a decrease in NPC xp would have a much greater impact on my ranking speed. and with my current energy bar, a decrease to the xp for base energy donations might encourage me to direct some surplus energy in that direction.
