Post subject:  Top 10 legion just bully boys?
I've been asked to post this by our sister legion Warp Fleet. Their base was disabled by ROO yesterday, just to put this into perspective after a major legion merge WF are down to 5 active players. ROO on the other hand is 49 members strong and have an average rank over 300.

The question is why would they feel the need to pick on a minor very small legion? The base scan shows the number of members in the legion... Are they that scared of taking on bigger bases/legions?

Any opinions?

We don't go in for base combat. Maybe when some of our members get some rank.. but personally I wouldnt lock on a base with few members. They are obviously in need of the boost from the base.

Everyone gets their base disabled. Does it really matter who by? We had our base attacked by 5 legions...

I Agree. The whole part of base combat is just that. You can't limit which bases can see which levels, its unfair on the legions who have bases of levels 6+. Even my legion has had tussles with The Unknown and Dysonians and have come out worse off. As for higher levels hitting bases lower than theirs, it all depends how many people are on-line when the lock is active. My base has held off a Lv 6 and my base is lv 4. It all boils down to how many are attacking at the time, not what level the attacking legion's base is.

We go for level 4 bases but I think the point is they are only 5 strong. That size legion is unlikely to have a massive variety of people there so no buffs from different races. I don't think there is a problem with the size of the base but the size of the legion and Kaell is right the legion size is displayed when you scan.

The base scan costs red badges. Red badges are hard to come by at higher rank (as ROO are, as you well put it). The mechanics of the base battles are as they are (i.e. no scan restrictions). Would you throw away badges if you would be in their position ? I wouldn't. I passed on a single base so far and that only because it was a rank 3 with a single member in the legion. I was afraid we couldn't get two hits for each online member.

cant complain bout base disabled as its part of the game, no one can chose which base they want to have its random and luck and unlucky for WF their base was in scan.
its tuff luck really so i dont beleive that ROO is a bully legion for hitting the base

Get to a higher rank 300/350+ then badge some reds, then come back and decide if you still feel the same about wasting red badges at that rank. Its not like they picked your base personally, It would of just came up randomly for them and abit of bad luck for you.

Im sure like my legion, ROO would rather take a stronger base, more badges to pass around for all.

So here's the deal.

The base in question had 20k Shields and 60k Hull. They also had a full AP bar. It was a well put together base for the size of the legion. Red Badges are indeed hard to come by. We don't hit lvl 5 bases or above because of the resource requirements to take them out. We also don't hit level 3 bases because they'e just too easy. For us, level 4 is the sweet spot.

They had the misfortune of getting scanned and locked. To be honest, IF i were to feel bad about a base losing production bonuses it would be for a legion which was full. The loss of production only affects 5 people in this case whereas it could have affected 50+.

So, while the OP might consider us bullies i think we're far from that.

red badges are at a premium atm, for the reasons mentioned plus the newer dominions came out at the same time as bases.
the other thing is...how many top ten legions are exclusively american?...or european?. there are 3 chances per day of getting silvers, most can be online for one or two of them.
after all is said and done, it's about silver badges...it isn't a personal attack on just one legions base.

Lol. They aren't bullies.. They are just in for easy silver badge income.. Level 3s and 4s are the easiest silver badge income than level 5+s give.. Blame the game flaw not blaming those top 10 legions. Sorry. Go and make good suggestions to Dan how to make level 5+s more attractive for farming for top 10 legions to enjoy. I'm sure that Dan will love to hear from you how to improve that and you can finally get top 10 legions off your base's back. :) A win-win situation.. Accusing and pointing fingers at top 10 legions will not solve anything. Sorry bud.. Guess what? My legion will keep farming level 4s sometimes level 5s that includes your legion at this current risk/reward format..

I started reading this thread because we've been disabled by 7 of the top 50 legions. It seems everytime we're locked its by a legion who's average power is better than our strongest guy by at least double.

After reading the thread, I know my current method (bribary) wasn't going to work. 3-5 red badges are worth way more than I can afford. (I was thinking about 100 kur to get you to go away)

I have to agree, a base is a base and at level 3, its what 20 silver badges?
I'm viewing this like NPC fights. I have to get through the common everyday easy ones to get the Elite and Rare ones I enjoy fighting.

So my 2 (unwanted) cents: No, the legions aren't being bullies, they are playing the game...
