If you have an Non Agression Pact with another legion and one of your players takes one of their planets, what do you do? What if your offending player refuses to cooperate? How do you make things right with the legion you broke your word to? Just curious how people would handle this... |

Until software enforced NAP's (i.e. being unable to attack planets and players from a legion that is checked in a box as having a NAP with) will be implemented there will always be a moron not reading not caring or not paying attention. So like you once said NAP's aren't something really feasible as the game mechanics are implemented at the moment. As for what I would do if I would be the offended I would talk to the offender's leaders ask for the planet back. If I get it then let bygones be bygones if not handle the matter as if the legion in question was a random one with everything that derives from that. |

Yep, size 12 steel-toe to the main thrusters if you know what I mean... There may be nothing do-able about returning the planet, but a swift kick would probably maintain the alliance. |

Nothing can help the person....If the legion does not boot the player, they pay the price of loss of the alliance and all credibility. if the legion dose boot the player, they have done all that is in their power. |

Just curious how people would handle this... haha I would have to agree with JC, on this one, one player can do alot against the name of a legion, so if i was the leader of such a legion like that I would kick said player in good faith, and if he snippy about it I would kick him in bad faith, simply because that one member in a way is going against you, your legion, and everything you guys stand for, which i would hope is your good name, then I would prob. raid him. |

I would boot the player and ask the legion officers of the legion that was betrayed to send the guy that had his planet stolen over to your legion. Then have him post the planet up and take the planet by force and give it back, only way I could see this done right. |

Didn't take that into account. Tricky situation. Booting would be the best option then, almost the only option. |

I would have them give it back say sorry and try to show them it was a mistake if the player refused i would kick them. And help the other legion get it back. And if the player was a mega jerk about it i would issue a k.o.s. ![]() ![]() |

Well, how many other legions can you have a non-aggression pact with before it either leaves almost nobody to attack or remembering it is really too much for a casual player to keep up with? I don't think my group has ever had more than 3 and 2 of those have been in effect since legions were put in place. I imagine some legions have like 7 and are always changing them even though their comm is almost totally inactive. |

Unfortunately attacking and disabling someone a dozen or so times allowed before he falls off your log in no way makes up for losing a good planet. As for the player, you don't have an NAP with PlayerX, you have an NAP with LegionX. It would be ridiculous for anyone to have personal NAPs with all the members so we make legion NAPs. It is not anyone's place other than the legion officers to make sure PlayerX does what he is supposed to. As I have publicly said before, I and my legion are responsible for every member and his/her actions. The point in a legion is that you are a group and not individuals. I am inclined to say that if the planet isn't returned you go to war with the entire legion. Otherwise there is no point in NAPs with a legion when any one player can break them without any real consequence. (Being booted from your legion is small consequence, you obviously didn't care about it or you wouldn't have broken their rules.) As example, if you break an NAP and all you get is attacked for a few days, why honor an NAP? It will be over as soon as you fall of their log. If you are going to get booted there are a dozen other legions out there to join that will take you because they don't know you are a liar or don't care. The only way to prevent this is to annihilate your enemy and his legion if possible. Make it known that "We are friends now but if you screw me I will take every planet and attack every member I can find of ANY legion you ever belong to." That way even if he switches legions no one will ever want him. |

True enough Kaos. In addition to kicking the guy, share any and all planets that your legion ever shared with him. If the offended party/legion were to gain a couple decent planets, it would be viewed as an honorable attempt to make things right. Also, this is where your Shame List and DarkNovember's facebook group come into play. Sharing the info with other Legion leaders that this person is a snake that doesn't honor agreements would limit his ability to find a safe haven. |

Some legions won't care though. They will put up with a loser to get an aggressive player mid level player. As some legions have shown time and time again, they don't care about their reputation. I think the only way to handle it is to make it known that any legion that harbors him will become part of the war he started. |
