All I get when I try to go to GL now is a folded paper icon with a frowney face and a message below it saying:

Quote:
The webpage at https://galaxylegionfb.com/galaxylegion ... rce=search might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.

DOES ANYONE ELSE HAVE THIS ERROR?

And if it did move to a new address, what's the new address? - Asheron

Chrome (or perhaps another browser you are using) has automatically updated, and support/trust for legacy Symantec PKI certificates has been dropped. You'll either need to downgrade to an older version of Chrome (69 or before), or use another browser.

I have a draft post written up explaining all of this to everyone but I haven't had time to finish it yet.

I was having the same problem on Chrome. Tried Firefox and Edge, and they both are still working.

I don't like to log on to Facebook / GL on other browsers. Chrome is the only browser I use it on.

Will Dan or his co-devs get this fixed by maybe switching to a certificate that has support? How possible is switching to a new certificate? - Asheron

Then don't play. Or install Chrome v69.

It's as simple as replacing a file (or a set of files) on the server. Plus, right now it's free - DigiCert acquired a lot of Symantec stuff and they're offering free replacements.

Or you could run GL from https://apps.facebook.com/galaxylegion/. This does not use the Certificate from GL but uses the Facebook Certificate which is a DigiCert issued one and works in Chrome version 70

I was the same way until yesterday. Now I use Chrome for everything else and Edge for Galaxy Legion. Seems a little bit slower, but works.

No, it doesn't. Communication between your browser and the game's server will always use the game's certificate. Facebook only "mirrors" the game on their site.

Well I'm using Chrome 70 and GL works on it. Checking the cert shows it to be the Facebook one issued by DigiCert

Because it's the top frame on the webpage. As someone's already pointed out, it might not be every version of Chrome 70.

While on the Facebook app page, I'm still warned in the browser log:
