right now i am a vygoid builder and was wonering if a kroyn could tell me if they think its worth it to become one |

The three races that have an ability that boosts a planet's resources permanently are worth it when you have a planet to boost. For example, I'm Mylari right now to boost a planet to 15x mining in preparation for rifting it. |

As a Kronyn Builder myself, yes it is worth it. Obviously the availability of Builder profession is good for higher rank people because of the upkeep. Now, as for the race itself... Look at it this way, Dimensional Logistics (needed to contribute at base level 6) is 15M research points, plus I believe the next step is 10M. After a certain point, research can be converted to credits (again helping with upkeep). Also at low-mid rank, a boost to your research will help you get tech just a little bit faster, giving you better ship and planet tech, and opening more options for you. Of course it does have its drawbacks... I lost nearly 300 decks when I switched from Sillixx. I've got all those back though now with only 1 heavy obviator shield to reinstall (damn badge modules lol) but this is more a stepping stone for me. I'll be enriching my research while I work on the Taltherian chain to get the artifact enrichment ability. |

of course if you're planning on going kronyn, do it sooner than later... for instance, i was at 8280 research as a vygoid and swapped over to kronyn, making it currently 6900 research per hour.... that's a drop of 1380/hr ....if i use my 40-hour ability only on very massive gas planets that i've stuffed with 40 raw research a piece,... it'll take 69 uses to get back up to 8280/hr... that's 115 days... almost 4 months however, if i was only at 1200 research as a vygoid when i swap to kronyn, making it 1000 research (a drop of only 200/hr)... that would only take about 10 uses on very massive gas planets stuffed with 40 raw research a piece... 400 hrs... about 16-17 days so the longer you wait, the longer it'll take you to make up the difference... |

any of the races that boost planet stats would be awesome even after you have upgraded your own planets..... if i had the option to change to one of these 3 races i would firstly upgrade my own planets, then have people alert massive planets to me-buff them up and then sell them back to the alerter  = profit!!! get jelly peoplez i was going to make this a thread and ask if people would do this if they were one of these three races.... figured i would mention it ere instead.. |

Pertominus, wouldn't that just take forever though? I mean, it's just a little under 2 days per use... Idk. I doubt it would be worth it to hold onto a planet long enough to make it worthwhile, and then just... sell it? for what, pray tell? facebook credits are the only thing worth that kind of hassle imo. |

yeah....I switched from vygoid miner to mylarai fixer, my research dropped from 6K to 5K, and my mining from 5K to 4.5K, but now it's been a full summer and my research has doubled to 10K and my mining has gone up to 5.7K solely from the mylarai enrichment, you have to remember though, that took 3 months to do(I haven't taken many new mining worlds because it costs around 4-5B to do so after everything's been built, and the planet would take more than a year to pay itself off, which is TERRIBLE from a marginal gain standpoint) |

I know that they max out at VL and people might be using it on VM planets or volcanics that can get to higher size/resources by demonizing). |

ANOTHER side to look at is u can sell planets u make with race abilities. FOR EXAMPLE. me and 2 legion mates make 3 ( THREE) ( tiny or very small) x15/15/15 desserts, we then crystalize them, and they are x17,x17,x17 and PERFECT for Rifting, thus u would end up with a MC x24/24/24 planet that STUFFED with RARE artifacts etc etc can easilly produce over 1500 of your chosen resource |

I would not consider Kronyn or Mylarai. NPC hunting will build up your gas and toxic planets faster then those races. Consider Drannik or Konqul and do massive npc hunts when you need more research or mining. |
