So I was halced up but didn't actually have a halc active at the time (it was just the trap set). Then I did this: 1 hour, 8 mins ago Your attack on ******* sets off a Krionus Virus Trap, surrounding your ship with its effects! So I thought 'Damn! Gonna have to be careful now' Then this happened: 44 mins ago From: ****** ******* attacked you and set off your Halcyon Trap! So what's the deal with this? |

It's only removed if you disable, raid, hack, invade, or use offensive artifacts/abilities, NOT if you attack someone or something. |

as posted only counts if you disable raid or hack or invade a planet or use an offensive action. it is fun though you start a pvp run hit a ship snap there k trap and then they counter attack to try and sneak in a quick kill with out you noticing it and they snap your halc trap had it done at a lower rank was weird but funny |

On trying to use HALCYON TRAP wrote: Cannot be used. You have disabled, hacked, raided, invaded, or used offensive artifacts in the last 24 hours. These are what game considers as ofensive actions |

Ok, thanks for clearing it up. Maybe the Wiki should be updated a little to be more specific? |

Wiki wrote: Ship cannot attack or be attacked for 2 hours from the time the trap is tripped. Restriction: Cannot be applied if you have performed any offensive action in the last 24 hours. Offensive Actions: Disabling, hacking, raiding, invading, or using enemy artifacts against other player ships, will void an untripped trap. http://galaxylegion.com/wiki/index.php/Halcyon_Trap That list has been up there in one shape or another since at least 2012. |

If you look at the history, Senatorhung changed the wording and removed a reference to "attacking". It used to say: Quote: Limitaion: Attacking, hacking, raiding, invading, or using artifacts against other players will void the trap before tripping The "Limitations" was changed to "Offensive Actions" and "Attacking" was removed. Has it been clarified enough though? Don't you lose the halc if you use an artifact against an enemy planet, too? |

Yes you do, you can even void the Calming Amp by doing that...seems like the Alternate Use has been added too...nice touch |
