Post subject:  Making the Commerce Bay and Exo Clamps more useful

First idea here is to give bases a cargo hold. 500 cargo per base level.

Commerce Bay would become useful at this point as you would need one to pull artifacts from the bases hold. Obviously there would need to be a new option added to rules to limit who can and cannot take arts and credits from the base so people cant join, drain your base, and leave. (which is why people don't put them on right now I would think)

Exo clamps in addition to what they already give would add +10 cargo as well.

The cargo hold can hold only things that are sendable so transfer of non sendable artifacts doesn't become possible.


Anything I didn't think through or overlooked feel free to comment. (and yes i did think about retroactive exo clamps and i dont know how hard it would be to figure that out so I would leave that up to Dan.)

+1 to the concept, not sure if I want exo clamps to be the things that let us add more space though.

I like the idea, but i think you will need a lot more than 500 cargo per base level.. i have 120k cargo myself, and that hardly feels like enough.
i would suggest:
lvl 1: 2.000 Cargo.
lvl 2: 5.000 Cargo.
lvl 3: 10.000 Cargo.
lvl 4: 25.000 Cargo.
lvl 5: 50.000 Cargo.
lvl 6: 100.000 Cargo.
lvl 7: 150.000 Cargo.
lvl 8: 250.000 Cargo.
lvl 9: 500.000 Cargo.
Now, this may seem like a lot, specially on higher level bases, but keep in mind, if its supposed to be a pool where all the members can store their artifacts to clear up their own cargo holds, you will need a lot.

clamp is useful as it is, because for larger legions it comes and goes in VERY large number....

I'll reiterate... Storage of any kind on a base defeats the purpose of a fundamental early game feature, Cargo.

I don't really see the point to this I would like to see an angle where you can upgrade modules and abilities for the base using artifacts and having storage for these arties within the base so every member could help reach the goals but as a secondary storage device apart from the really low rank guys this would serve no purpose.

Exo clamps are the best silver thingy out there, More useful.... MORE USEFUL! . Just use more ;) .


as for the comerance bay. what if by having one you get 10% tax in the GTC rather than 20%

Yes more useful. :)

I like the trade cut, maybe could be another base ability:
Galactic Market (requires commerce bay)
activate - last 24 hours (5 ability points)
reduces trade tariffs by 1% for each loyal merchant
