Why is it that I can't get rid of a calming amp I put on myself but any enemy can wipe it like it was never there with an artifact that costs nothing. -1 for being able to stop a harassing legion.

Calming amps are basically white flags. You throw one up and hope the other guy decides to respect it.

yeah, calming amps are a waste except at low lvls where people can't spare a missile

And some advise to people. Don't scrap anything. You will never know if you need them for a mission. Calming amps is one.

Best bet you can do is just stay disabled if you have no way of winning or or want to leave for the night. They can then only raid or hack you but if you put more scanner power up then just raid you.
