Woot? Its the only one that lasts. Nocifer noticed one in the early morning and I got in starting with nearly zero energy. Barely though.
Heh, I had made it a rule to DOO to STOP doing excessive damage once locked in for loot. As for Dark Ring, it drops 10 loot means a member should stop at 10% once see lock symbol appears to allow other DOO players to have chance at loot to maximize the loot return.
I added new NPC rule of engagement into the DOO charter item 3. a. quoted,
"a. In order to maximize the loot and experience return from NPC sharable encounters to power DOO up in fast time possible, a member does enough damage to lock in loot is encouraged to STOP to allow other DOO members chance at the loot. For example, for NPC with 10-loot drops, DOO member is encouraged to stop at 10% once locked in. If NPC gives 10 loot drops then goal is maximized and achieved. "
It really helps to slow down NPC deaths to give everyone chance at loot. That's why my Dark Ring finally lasted over an hour instead of matter of minutes and I'm pretty happy with it. You were able to get the loot due to that new rule.

But the reason why that NPC encounter was unexpected for you because I announced that I was going to share my Dark Ring in DOO forum 8 hours ahead of time so they were prepared to take it down if they were saving up the energy..
NPC with 3 loot drops are still going down FAST even when player stops at 34% (under the rule) to lock in but there are easy to have another two to get involved to finish it off in matter of seconds..
